@@jaydenrock Thom doesn't hate Creep. He just hated playing it all the time ... and only being known for that song by the masses. As My Iron Lung implies ... it was suffocating. Plus, Creep was a song about girl he had a creepy crush on at University. Granted it has some chords that The Air I Breath had, Creep is still a genius song. Back in the day, people crowd surfed to The Bends. And then OK Computer happened. The vibe of the band became different. Even moreso with Kid A. Great, but different.

Dude?! the same thing happened to me at 9:30 club. I went to see Hanson on their comeback tour with an ex. Hanson didn’t call me a dickhead, but I eventually got kicked after sending the bouncer on a wild goose chase. 9:30 club had a set of stairs that created an alternate loop to keep the bouncer guessing my path. I decided to leave on my own when I saw that the bouncer was worn out. I ended up talking music outside with the opening band as they packed up their equipment. Old Rasputin was on tap that night

Jim Choe the bends tour in 1995. It was when they were still pretty intense and loud, and there were people trying to mosh violently when I saw them on Seattle on that tour. He said the same kinda stuff. I mean. People were moshing to “fake plastic trees.” Like, elbow’s out, violent moshing.

I can see this being an honest mistake. In an extreme example, Ive seen mosh pits where people come out looking terrible but that behavior is normal at certain live shows. Zach just was playing by different "concert rules". I can also see Thom looking at a guy hurting other people and getting pissed off since the people getting hurt were just trying to enjoy music. Zach din't mean to harm but did. Thom clearly wanted to return that harm to Zach, at least emotionally, which if it corrected behavior that was imposing harm on others was called for. However he probably did go too far with continually calling him out after he stopped and left the main area. Conclusion, I think they were both dickheads, but Thom had the microphone. But who cares this is the internet.

Well, to be fair on the bends tour it was common place. They had a super intense rocking live act from 92-96 or so, so it’s actually understandable. I also was a punk rock guy who became a Radiohead fan, but hurting people when everyone is just standing there is pretty lame, first, and second, I know that on the Ok Computer tour in America, they put up signs saying “the band respectfully asks that you not crowd surf, thank you.” Zach was right about it being a rough time for Thom, that OKC tour especially. I saw him snap at Ed into the mic one of the three shows from that tour that I managed to find rides to. Never heard an arena of people gasp in mutual horror that Thom would humiliate Ed like that. He has apologized tho, and even by the time I saw him on the Kid A tour, he was a changed man, clearly having a blast again, he really did seem miserable on those OKC tours and watching “meeting people is easy,” you can see why. I’d love to see Thom react to this video tho.
