Did they provide instructions? I just got the 10pt but it didn't come with any instructions. Their support sucks too, cant get a call answered or a FB message reply...
@crusadergarage2983 жыл бұрын
It did not. I watched their online video on KZfaq and then installed it.

@@crusadergarage298 cool yeah I just thought they have provided some dimensions and so forth. Lol. Did you install the main hoop 90 degrees/straight up? I heard them talking about a 3degree lean back and wasn’t sure how to do the main hoop. Thanks for your response and videos!
@crusadergarage2983 жыл бұрын
Yeah I did set it at about a 3 degree lean back.

Do the subframe connectors interfere with the use of the pedals in any way from them sticking above the floor slightly

Just to pick your brain, do you think this Cage with dash bar would work with factory heater box/blower motor, fusebox location etc etc. Do you think it would be OK to leave the dash bar out?
@crusadergarage2982 жыл бұрын
Not sure if it would work with heater box/ blower motor. I would guess not. Also I don’t believe a dash bar is required for an 8.50 cert if the firewall is not modified more than 1 square foot.

@@crusadergarage298 appreciate the info brotha. I'll have to look into that. Love your work. I can't tig so I'm looking at the steel version so I can mig it. Happen to know the weight differences between the steel and moly?
@crusadergarage2982 жыл бұрын
Same cage in mild steel will probably weight at least 50lbs more.

Did you put your interior panels back in the rear? Also, I'm getting ready to start my cage. Can you put the headliner in AFTER the cage is installed? Or does it need to be installed first?
@crusadergarage2983 жыл бұрын
I lowered my cage so I could weld the tops. Before I raised it back up I installed the headliner. Buy you still could install it after the cage is done. Would just be more of a Pain. I have not installed my rear interior panels yet because I am going to replace the 1/4 windows. Once I do that I will install the rest. 👍

Just the mini tub/ triangulation bars

I’m in the middle of installing my 10 pt Team Z cage and no mention where to locate the back trunk bar. Did you have to hold up the rear bars to figure out where to weld that back trunk bar?
@crusadergarage2983 жыл бұрын
That back bar for me was a tight fit. It stayed in place enough between the plate enough for me to keep fitting the rear bars in till I found the right spot for me to weld it in.
@captainamerica50053 жыл бұрын
@@crusadergarage298 Thanks for the reply, I was wondering if it would stay in place. I was going to try that today. It’s 4am here in Cali and I can’t wait to get back outside on it. Did you drop the whole cage down or just the front?
@crusadergarage2983 жыл бұрын
I dropped the entire cage down. I marked the rear bars with a sharpie around the plates and tacked them in, so all I had to do was raise them back up to the marks to weld in
@captainamerica50053 жыл бұрын
@@crusadergarage298 Awesome, good job. Was it a bitch to get back into position? I work alone and thinking of using a couple floor jacks to get it back into position. How did you do it?
@crusadergarage2983 жыл бұрын
Used a ratchet strap across the roof and through the a pillar bars that run horizontally on the roof line and just ratchet it up and placed back on my marks. Hope that makes sense

how hard was it to tig weld it in?
@crusadergarage2983 жыл бұрын
Most of it was pretty easy. A couple spots were hard because where they are. It’s hard to get to them with the torch. But all in all was not that bad.
