Around The World by Motorcycle
TeapotOne is the story of Bruce Smart's epic 74,000 miles, 54 countries in 442 days, solo & unsupported around the world by motorcycle adventure, to keep a promise.
From 1st October 2012 to 14th June 2014, Bruce Smart rode a Suzuki GSX-R1000 74,000 miles around the world, solo and unsupported, through 54 countries to keep a promise he made his mum before she lost her battle with cancer. There were ups, there were downs, highs and lows, but one aspect shone through, the overwhelming friendship and support shown from almost everybody he met around the world.
From Europe to South East Asia, Russia to Australasia, South America to the USA and Canada, almost everybody he met opened their lives and homes to a complete stranger, and the journey grew and grew.
The entire RTW adventure was caught on film, from issues with motorcycle shipping, to the most dangerous road travelled, this travel blog, or travel vlog, is a documentary you just can't miss.
-----
Episode 5 of TeapotOne Around the world by motorcycle is Part 2 of the Norway adventure. This episode see's me ride north from 'The Troll's Road' to Nordkapp, via the Atlantic Highway, Trondheim and the Lofoten Islands. Hopefully this goes some way to highlighting the incredible natural beauty and hospitality Norway has to offer every visitor.

That Trolls Road looked incredible! I do love a good waterfall flowing past me as I'm riding twisty roads. So amazing! It's a shame the camera wasn't tilted up a little though. Like you've said heaps of times on the podcast, you wish you'd done the trip with the knowledge and camera gear you have now. Whenever you say that I think back to my first serious bike trip back in 2013, only 5,000km over 2 weeks but the filming and sound quality was shit! I can't even watch the series I did these days! 🤣 Gotta love the biking community getting out to help you out and ride with you. What a cool experience getting to ride a circuit in the Arctic Circle! Amazing! Wow! that scenery is absolutely stunning! What an incredible experience!

Admiration! I basically never leave comments,but now i am at the middle of "the adventure" and got to say really impressive. Doing all that with such a machine, that's absolutely outstanding. Driving through the dessert or snowy roads and never heard a bad comment about the conditions nor the bike. A true example of ... there are no excuses : either you are a True motorcycle enthusiast or you name it! Great vids !

Hi Mike, Well all the standard bits are amazing to see such as the Trollstigen (Troll’s Road) and Atlantic Highway, but if you just follow the coast up the West you will be awestruck at the beauty you’ll find. You MUST visit the Lofoten Islands too, they are breathtakingly beautiful. Nordkapp is a must, and why not visit the Arctic Circle Raceway whilst you’re up that way 😉👍

I noticed over the series. Alot of the background music on your videos , with bands that I've never heard of before. I heard that a lot of adventure bikers are listener of heavy metal music. I myself only listen heavy metal and rock music. Especially the BIG 4 OF METAL. I was wondering if this true for most adventure bike riders. I ask because I'm a rookie when adventure motorcycling but I am becoming one.

Sorry pal... been following you relentlessly but gotta unsubscribe now. There’s an element of hypocrisy in supporting the “Born Free” foundation and then feasting on whale meat, *and* then praising how ‘delicious’ it is. Do you realise the torture and cruelty involved in the hunting and merciless killing of these intelligent mammals???
@teapotone
@teapotone 5 жыл бұрын
Yes I do. I also realise the same can be said about any animal we kill and eat for food. However the animal was already dead, way before I even met these wonderful people who invited me into their home and had specifically bought a food that is considered a delicacy, in order to have something special and Norwegian for me to try. If it had been an endangered animal then of course I wouldn’t partake it it, but this type of whale is not. However you’re free to subscribe/unsubscribe, that’s your choice. Thanks for your support up until this point and all the best 👍
