Totally! I love that I can do other things, or just take a break. I do have to monitor for errors, running out of bobbin thread, top thread breakage or if it hits the bar.

Good to know! It may help someone else. I know if I NEED help, the ex-dealer will help me. She is still helping the people she installed for. I'm trying not to seek her help as I don't want to make videos where I'm sharing her knowledge. I'm using my channel as a learn with me as I figure this system out.

@@teaquilts I just got my quote for perfect stitch and the butler it’s 9,800. My current machine doesn’t even have a stitch regulation. But it will all be on one tablet instead of 2 like yours. I have a person that will warranty the work and is working with me. So I feel like that is awesome. If you are still in need of a maintenance person they are a really nice family I can pass you on the information.

Following this comment, I had several of the same concerns.

Lots here, I hope I answer it all. 1. You can only get Statler and Elevate on Gammill longarms that are 22" or larger. 2. You should purchase from same/recommended company when adding the computerized system if you didn't include in original purchase. For me, that was way over my budget...I couldn't afford it. Even if I'd purchase the Elevate (the cheaper of the two), I would have only been able to do pantos for the most part - no custom work. 3. My friend has it on a Gammill longarm; I think it's a Vision 2.0 as well. The reason I considered it and then purchased. 4. I think I would have to upgrade with a tablet from Quilt-ez as the tablet must talk to the main box to run the system. 5. The nearest Gammill dealer is about 3-4 hours away. I don't use them. I purchase my machine locally. Although the center is no longer a dealer, I still use them for replacement parts and service, if needed. I haven't had to have any service on my system. I've done minor replacements myself. 6. When you purchase a Gammill, it include training when delivered and another training session 1-3 months afterwards. The center could extend the time frame if you need or ask. They want you to work at home and then come with a list of questions and they show you some longarm stitches you can use for quilting. 7. No updates to the Vision 2.0 have been made. 8. I have a video series/playlist on the Gammill why I purchased this longarm. You will get more info there, but yes, comes with a manual, quick reference guide, and a parts booklet. The butler's manual is downloadable online. Not very well written. You will need to watch some videos to see how the commands relate to each other. 9. Basic butler system updates are free. However at some point you will need to upgrade the tablet. It's like when Microsoft update MS Word. It can have revisions, but when they completely rewrite the software, you'll need to pay an update fee.

I actually felt comfortable right away. I used to teach software classes at my job, so it was a matter of figuring out how to program what you want it to do. My other motivation was that I'd spent money on the system and was determined to figure out at least the basics.
