Tip for getting monster parts: High level enemies like silver will always drop their guts.

My main issue with this game is that for the most part I just felt like I was playing breath of the wild, which I already had hundreds of hours in. Even simple things that could’ve been different aren’t.

I spoke with my husband about this and thought I’d drop his qualms as well: The re-using of The Imprisoning War cutscenes with each of the sages is too repetitive. It would’ve been cool to have each one different content rather than a rinse and repeat of everything. Secondly, the introduction of “hot/cold weather attack” food is kind of pointless. It feels very much like something that was added just to have “some more new stuff”

personally i like sage abilities more than champion for 2 reasons 1 champion abilities have long cooldown and after a single fight you have to wait for them to recharge 2 sage's while not great can save your weapon durability by killing weaker enemies by themselfs

Tip: Close and re-open your glider after using tulins ability. You can trigger the effect many times, multiplying the speed at which you glide which lets you cover insane ground

Korok seeds are a lot easier when u have the hover bike

Guardians will always be scarier to me than gloom hands. I dont get why so many people think gloom hands are an op enemy. You can kill them with like one well placed topaz arrow and then slice down Phantom Ganon with the master sword in like 8 seconds. They're creepy, sure, but not a tougher fight whatsover compared to a Guardian.

Thank you for this. I agree with everything you both said. Korok seeds needed to be cut down, not increased. The new abilities are all way worse than the ones in BotW which was very disappointing. The Master Sword is still a little bitch. I was hoping they would do something such as the power isn’t drained on low tier enemies. Something. It is such a thrill to get the sword and then it’s a little bitch. Very opposite to other Zelda games where the MS is the ultimate weapon. The Zonaite devices disappearing is so infuriating. If there is a battery upgrade system, why does there need to be that limitation as well? I also think the English voice acting is all really bad.

Yeah, Master Sword should have been much stronger, and never run out of energy, and just had a negative effect, like, have it completely erase any enemy formed from Gloom, bit like the Ancient Arrows did in BoTW. So, use best weapon, lose out on loot you need for other progression.

I love this game to death, but I do have some things that I was disappointed by. MAJOR SPOILERS for #5!!!!!!! 1. The other major Hyrule regions (Hebra, Lanaryu, Eldin, and Faron) didn’t have the same quality as The Gerudo Desert, which feels like the region that’s changed the most. That region has the best dungeon, town, caves, and one of the best sky regions; it’s also the surface region that benefits the most from using Zonai devices for travel. 2. We were teased on The Great Sky Island that we were going to explore a new world with its own ecosystem and architecture. Most sky islands are too small. 3. The Depths is just one biome, and the only exception is Death Mountain. It’s also lacking things to do, besides enemy encounters and treasure. 4. The game should’ve just forced you to do the Dragon Tears in order. 5. The Forgotten Foundation isn’t a final dungeon. I wish we got a Ganon’s Tower or something in The Depths after beating Hyrule Castle. It could’ve been the ultimate test of puzzles and combat, with optional rooms that have treasure which utilize the Sage abilities.

I think koroks are fine, i've gotten 200 korok seeds so far and I like finding them. Also I haven't found having to grind for monster parts, I think that the problem your having is that you didnt't kill monsters earlier on and now you are being forced to fight them which you don't want to do, I marked a lot of boss locations and didn't have much problem getting monster parts. Also the zonai enemies are not a replacement to gaurdians, there aren't really a replacement. Instead they added a few bosses like Gleeoks, and phantom ganon. Also I dont think that the old zelda armour should have abilities and set bonuses. I agree with the points about the sages, the abilities mostly suck because you have to track down the person and then try to talk to them. Although I don't think that having weaker abilities is a flaw, if they made an ability one hit any enemy that wouldn't make it good for the game, but if the ability so worthless that you never use it (sidon) it's a flaw. I think that weapon durability is fine, it makes you change what weapons you use, maybe you don't have enough weapon slots because you dont get koroks and don't take a lot of fights but I never am forced to go and find new weapons because I'm running out. Rock octorocs are fine, I don't know how you run out of rock octoroks when you can sheikah sense for them, it is a flaw that the game doesn't tell you about rock octoroks early on. Performance is a problem because the switch is terrible but I don't know if its nintendos best decision to make another consol.

I agree with all of those, they could've increased the durability of the master sword to make it a whole lot stronger

tears of the kingdom can run on pc through an emulator and then you are able to run it at a consistent framerate, but it is a game which should not be possible for switch for how the engines run(physics and such).

When I was doing the final temple in the depths, I noticed how laggy it was. It was nearly unplayable. I had to save and reload so that it wouldn't keep framedropping. D:

To me, there are a lot of problems with this game just like breath of the wild I agreed with most of your issues, but another issue I had was there was too much filler in this game as well as too much frog coins whatever they’re called store I just didn’t feel like 100% in this game like breath of the wild and the game still felt too much like breath of the wild and I was a little disappointed that they cut completely half of the opening cut scene and Gannon Dorf he was OK. He’s not at all my favorite Gannon Dorf, but he had a lot of cool moments the dungeons were all right. The best one being the thunder, but most of them were just underwhelming to me tears of the Kingdom, and breath of the wild should have just been one game I have ideas how it could’ve worked if it was one game and it could definitely work and it probably would’ve made these games way better but to me the best Zelda game is ocarina of time and majora‘s mask still

for the nitpicky stuff: you dont know how much damage the master sword does. if you fuse it with a silver lynel horn it does at leas 55 but not how much entirely. Also i think this game is more lore based and maybe to please the community too. I still think the game is a 10/10 because i still love to grind and i have been waiting so long for this game

"TotK is not perfect" there's no such thing as a perfect game anyway, so what are you really getting at?

I would like to say I never experienced any frame issues while playing myself. I dont mind 30 fps in a game like this either. tbh people have way too much of a hardon for more frames its sometimes ridiculous. I wont defend S&V though. that game is not optimized at all. I will however say that totk is doing a lot of stuff more than S&V does and still has better frame rates. The only real difference between 30 and 60 fps for me is a minor amount of smoothing. and then after that I cannot tell whatsoever.
