my issue is absolutely 180 degrees apart. i can access the files and folders of my SM, even I can use as portable device as hotspot, but it does not CHARGE. I have to unplug and charge externally and can reuse it with my pc/lappy. Any aid will be highly appreciated.

My computer shows "a" device plugged into a USB port, but it doesnt know what it is or that it even functions. Switched to another cable andl is good. That's all I did. Check your cable

Hey, I've watched heaps of videos trying to fix this for 2 days and honestly it's doing my head in. All settings in developer mode on my phone are correct, I've tried multiple USB ports on my PC and 5 different cables. My device isn't even coming up in device manager, I've downloaded universal ABD driver and it still doesn't work. What can I do seriously need to get this fixed, I have also restarted my and phone after changing settings.

Just Relax! After connecting....Find that device in device manager(whether it is in 'unknown' or wherever it is!) & uninstall device. Next time, reconnect the device & windows will automatically detect & install drivers. it worked for my redmi note 8.

I faced the same issue ,phone was not showing transfer files, it was only charging..I changes 3 cables but didn't work..then I used cable of my original MI charger ..that worked👍 ..I didnt require to update the drive also.. changing to original company cable worked

Yeah, when you have the "usb charging" indicator, you're golden. My moto g7 doesn't recognize the fact of being connected to anything but usb charging and the pc doesn't see the device at all.

Hello can you help ne out? Now this is pretty complicated and sketchy. So. My phone is oukitel C16 pro duo. It got water damaged. It has a lot of data on it. I want to transfer data on new sd card I bought because old one was full. I cannot restart it, I cannot turn it off because its almost impossible to turn it on, power button doesnt react due to water damage. Phone works inside but screen is fully blurred/ fluckering with lines or just dark lines. Both horizontal and vertical lines. Occassionally wallpaper pulls through but lately not full screen but only flickering squizzed on half screen, then it again goes into dark lines. I turn on and off screen via app for screen powering via volume button which I installed yesterday when screen was still working showing wallpaper for few minutes before flickering away into dimmed lines. So touch screen fully works, thats very important info for you. All things I touch on screen, while on dimmed lines, cause correct reaction. Even though I dont see anything on screen, I touch via my own memory (it means I remember where something was positioned on screen) on specific places on screen and phone executes that order. For example by "tapping in dark" in this way, I managed to start video audio player and choose album and navigate through songs. Screen gives off more or less brightness as Im doing something, it doesnt show anything picture like, but some lines abd colours indicate this or that. So my question is now: where (how many cm low of top of screen) do I tap, when I connect phone to computer? My laptop is asus, win 10. It connects, sound pops and pc explorer opens the folder "oukitel c16 pro". But its empty!!! Ive done it many times but always same. So I apparently must choose smth on phone. This is relatively new phone so I still wasnt connecting it to laptop before so I dont remember how it goes. My goal is to connect it to laptop and then transfer all data either to pc either to that new micro sd card. Help? Suggestion of some app? Please Im desperate. I dont want to give data to anyone else to handle, so I first want to clean the phone from my data and only then give it away to service repair shop (or buy new phone). Please give me some advice. Thank you in advance
