I think some more backstory is that after the visit, Sir Billiam kept feeding more peasants to the egg. He eventually ran out of people, and the egg grew more conscious and ate him. The reason why Techno wants to destroy the egg is because he knows from stories of his family that it poses a massive threat.

That would also explain why Ranboo here is a human and in DSMP universe he is a half enderman thingy. The time and space theory is pretty cool beacuse since Technos chat is canon, that would make everyones AU's (au = alternate universe) also technically canon!
