We already have The Ocean Cleanup, Team Seas and 4Ocean collecting plastic from the oceans and rivers. TheOceanCleanup collects trash up to 3 meters deep. The robot working on beaches is a great idea.

Having said that, it is great to see that their are more companies and organisations out there that try to make a difference. Smaller vessels for more targeted operations could also be very beneficial I think.

For just $20 4Ocean will remove 1kg of plastic and send you a plastic bracelet. Afroz Shah removed 9000 tonnes of plastic and didn't ask anyone for money.
