Sherri Martel was one of the greatest women in pro wrestling ever. She could do it all. She was a great in-ring performer, tough as nails. She was great as a babyface, but a superb heel. Her mic work was really good. Shawn Michaels said she looked out for him as his manager, and if someone took liberties, she would deck them....She was good as a manager, and set the stage for the divas that followed. I rank her ahead of any of the others (Medusa, Moolah, Wendy Richter, Luna Vachon are the other top women that also wrestled). The women toured, and weren't in any territory all the time. They would come to Mid-South and film the 3 TVs at once, do the house shows, then move on. Ted would have met her on one of those tours.

She went to the HOF ceremony to ask for help paying for her back surgery. Because she wasn't a drug addict like Sunny, they told her "tough $h!t". And later, she dies due to a painkiller addiction. Because she never could afford the back surgery on her own. But hooray for the WWE HOF.

@@fureyhiggins3289It’s also infuriating. Sherri wasn’t just some random diva, she was a trailblazer and arguably the best woman performer ever in the business - bar none. She was tough as nails, could hang with the men, had great promos and managed the biggest names from Macho Man, HBK, Ted, Flair, etc. To think that WWE spared no expense if you had a drug addiction, but heaven forbid they pay for the surgery of a legend who left it all out there and sacrificed her entire life for the business. Absolutely disgraceful as they probably could’ve saved her life. RIP Sherri…❤️

I feel a bit guilty not realizing in 1992 as a 10 year old not realizing how much the talent of that era did to entertain me. Though heels like Sherri (Mountie, Martel, Repo Man) would probably prefer it that way.

I hope she heard and believed the gospel before she passed. The only requirement to be saved from the penalty and punishment of your sins is to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that he paid your sin debt on the cross. It’s all grace. Not earned and it’s open to anyone who believes on Him for the remission of sin. One requirement and it is to BELIEVE ON HIM. To the one who does not work, but believes on the one who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness(Romans 4:5). If Sherri had simple child like faith in Jesus, she is in the presence of God in glory. I hope Mike Virgil Jones believed on Christ. Ted, you are a believer and maybe God is using you to reach these men and women you worked with for decades. Legalism is not the gospel. No one keeps Gods standard of perfection. That is why God sent his Son to redeem the world. Our performance doesn’t get us saved, or keep us saved. It’s faith alone in Christ alone.

You might want to try reading the Bible starting on page 1 sometime… no idol worship. There is ONE Creator. Take responsibility for your actions like an adult.
@duddelove9229
@duddelove9229 4 ай бұрын
@@YitroBenAvraham Do you know the definition of idol worship? Jesus paid the sin debt for all of mankind, because no one can keep Gods standard of perfection, because everyone sins everyday in word, thought, or deed everyday, multiple times per day. The Pharisees thought that their law keeping was pleasing to God, but Jesus knew what they really were inwardly. He called them white washed tombs because outwardly they presented themselves as a moral, upright law biding group, but inwardly, they were proud, self righteous people. All sin is punishable by death. In the eyes of God all sin is evil, and there are no large or small sins in the eyes of the Lord. You either choose to be judged and punished for every sin you commit in the body, if you choose to reject Gods free gift of pardon through his Son Jesus, or you can have all your past, present, and future sins blotted out and forgiven by simply believing on Jesus for remission of your sins. 200 times in the New Testament it is implied that you are saved the moment you place your faith in Christ. Acts 16:31 Sirs what must i do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. John 3:18 He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe on Him is condemned already, because he has not believed in the named of the only begotten Son of God. The Pharisees wanted to be justified by their law keeping, instead of simply trusting in Jesus. The bible says no man will be justified by the law in the sight of God. That is why the narrow and only way to heaven is to believe on Jesus. You can say your little smart comment that i need to read the bible, but the fact of the matter is, I understand the gospel well. It appears you are the one who has no, understanding of the gospel. I will agree with you on one point, and that is you will reap consequences for actions you do in the flesh, but it is the soul that is redeemed and saved, not the flesh. Your soul is saved the moment you believe. And one day the soul will be united with a new, glorified body that will not know sin, or reap corruption. Flesh and blood cant enter the Kingdom of heaven, and that is why we will not have these flesh and blood bodies that are corrupted by the seed of Adam. I encourage you to read and gain understanding, before accusing someone who has clear understanding of not reading. Be Blessed!

@@duddelove9229 The Creator of everything > Jc man-god. Anyone with a basic understanding knows you can repent directly to G-D. You don’t need a man or any intermediary. Go to the Creator. No idols. Literally everything you say about the man is straight from Paganism. It’s gross. Grow up and take responsibility. Apologize fully when you wrong someone. Repent to the One G-D only. The rest is old classic pagan idolatry. Jesus would be disgusted by how you all have twisted his movement- a small movement of Jews, speaking Hebrew and Aramaic… in Israel. Your book is Greek. Hence the pagan idol worship. 🤮 You had to staple it to the actual Bible- the Hebrew scripture. “Just believe in the idol and all will be forgiven…” Come on… 🙄 There are 2 big issues with xtians: 1. They can’t agree on anything except idol worship. Thousands of sects. All believing different things. Probably because the gospels themselves have conflicting stories of the same events. 2. They never improve because they don’t think they have to. The idol already took care of it for them. That’s why you see every porn star, addict, scum bag wearing a cross. So they have licence to keep being scum! Thanks Jc idol man-god!
