After I got back from Vietnam, I landed a job playing security at concert venues. We’d escort acts from the plane to the stage etc etc. I met a lot of groups. Ted was the only one that treated us like his equal, very cool. He talked to us. Invited us to his trailer pre show. Food. No drinking as he never drank. What a great guy. Took pics with us, autographs. Can’t say enough good things about him. 99% of the other acts I covered were complete assholes. One guy we were told don’t look at him or talk to him or he’ll get upset. People can say what they want about Nugent, but he was a very nice genuine guy

Thank you for serving (volunteer or not) back when so many were against people that wore the uniforms. My sweetie is retired USAF (Vietnam era) and also a big Ted Nugent fan. I love to hear that guys like Nugent can still remember how to be a real person, not just a 'rock star'.

Blue oster cult, point blank, Johnny and Edgar winter and of course ( California Worthington & his dog spot) aka Bengal Tiger.. That was a $ 10.00 dollar event. I was just thinking the same thing… this song is hard rocking, yet it is restrained in tone and guitar finger speed. There are dynamics in intensity and loudness that give it the punch at times. And it is 8 minutes long, which is perfect for this kind of song.

Uncle Ted, I just learned that this song plays very well on my piped-out Harley. Even better, the stereo volume on Bamalam (her name), goes clear up to "50"! Thanks for all your contributions to us Americans over the years. Thanks for Spirit Of The Wild! Great music and philosophy! Thanks for your STAND on 2A! And for the rest y'all: If you have a sewer back up and your house starts filling up with sewage, do you raise the ceiling or pump out the crap? Your choice is coming in November.

First heard this in 75. Never heard anything like it before. I wore out a Chevy Nova riding the backroads of Greene County Tennessee listening to this. Also drove my mom nuts with this cranked up in my room. I just couldn't understand how anyone could NOT like this. I still love it - I will love it till I die.
