It is like expecting a 10000 rs iPhone to outperform real iPhone. Naval Tejas navy k technical parameters par thik se khadi nhi utarti. Upar se, naval jets ka underbody fuselage strong hona compulsory hai or long range capable hona chahiye warna wo kisi kaam k nhi.

CCS soyi rehti hai since last 5 years now... current defence minister ko ek competent minister se change karna hoga, who is more of an employee or "technocrat" rather than a neta or half competent person... jaise External Affairs ke liye Jaishankar ji aaye tabse sab kaam badhiya chal raha hai... same type of minister of his level of education and skill, should be given the job of handling DEFENCE... a guy like Manohar Ji would be nice... I am seeing all people blaming either HAL or ADA or DRDO or whoever they find, as BABUS who dont wanna work... bro they are working... for less salary, in India, for the love of the nation... its the CCS which isnt giving approvals and the Armed Forces are unable to convery to the govt their demands... ab toh sab thik hi ho chuka hai waise toh, bas CCS ka approval aa jaye... and 2024 main Defence Minister ko change karna hi hoga, Rajnath ji is NOT AGGRESSIVE enough... @@sudarshanadiga6033 they do have tech, see Tejas, also all things made for Tejas and being developed for future programmes, are to be integrated to upgrade Su 30s to Super Sukhoi level Thus your words saying "they don't have tech, they know only how to screw drive things" is misinformation and a big lie Just let the CCS give approvals on time and the things shall fall into line with minimal delays Even Tejas's potential might not have been known, had it never been inducted... now IAF knows the potential DRDO/ADA/HAL etc have, and they shall aggressively back these PSUs and force/demand govt to allow CCS approval of funds on time These are not private companies with Billions of dollars as reserves, these are PSUs, they can at max develop a trainer or helicopter well with internal funds, but can no way develop a fighter with such low funds, this CCS approval is necessary Warna jet bann hi nahi payega... CCS should get more active in these next 5-10 years if they want India to do something big in the field of defence (as far as being top 5 in exports of weapons by 2040 and top 3 by 2050)

This video helped me understand how the media, with its exaggerated (to me, clickbait-style) pieces about timelines, perpetuates the false narrative of delays without disclosing other relevant information that might have allowed readers to form more informed opinions. Relevant information like why delay in CCS approval, concerns of private players, any remedies that the design team is looking for to shorten the timeline etc.

TEDBF makes more sense with reference to approval of Third aircraft carrier commitment, and hence the cost of both projects which runs in billions of dollars causes a concern right now. Rafale marine seems to be as a potential support to operate our current aircraft carrier fleet, and that is a priority. Also next year due to general elections in country govt will focus more on civic schems, eventhough those have been done but our janta is never pleased. Work on projects like AMCA are also been carried out, cost of which also runs in billions of dollars.. as per current geopolitical situation we are already lagging in resources. But I will appreciate that we are been consistently working on cutting edge technologies in bits and pieces which as a whole will take some time to show its cumulative effect on our defense capabilities.

Many ppl don't understand why twin engine fighters... Unlike landscape water is not safe for Pilots to land.theres lot of marine predators and ability to have one operational engine plays major role. Also the benefits of twins in takeoff and payload capabilities. Proper management of such projects should be addressed and kickstart. ☝️😆

The initial idea was to build a cheap fighter in a reasonable time frame. There is nothing inherently wrong with single engine jets as engines are quite reliable now. My concern is our design thinking. Tejas was built as the worlds "smallest, lightest" fighter without considering that ultimately light weight and size are not enough to survive a dogfight or a long-range engagement. So, the emphasis on criteria that are not as important and any lack of vision and planning for future are what bothers me more.

There are news coming up that Navy wants design changes to reduce Frontal RCS and have 3 semi-recessed under belly weapon hardpoints .. which means premilinary design review itself is not yet completed then how is CCS expected to provide approval for Prototype ?

AMCA ka to PDR, CDR do hi ho gaye hai to abhi tak kyu nahi kiya approve. 2ndly, PDR CDR keliye paise kon dega, wo bhi dev. Agency khud kehi paiso se kare? Sirf Ind mein hi aisa ho sakta hai,aur kisi desh mei nahi hota.

@@krishKOfficial exactly the point.. when AMCA is still not approved how are even expecting to get approval for TEDBF which have not even reached the approval level for Prototype Also note that TEDBF is a logical extension of Naval Tejas and Naval Tejas couldn't fulfill the requirements of Navy.. If i remember the news right.. the funding that was allocated for LCA-Navy program is to be used for Design stages for TEDBF..

@@karthikmk1839 I what's the point you want to make. Amca completed pdr cdr but still not approved. Why? Who's fault is this? Every country allocate funds right after pdr and even before that. But they want drdo to complete PDR CDR and still there is no guarantee that it will get approval immediately. Aise to ho gaya "AtMAniRbHar" in defence. LCA navy was modified using HAL's internal funds. Look R&D there are two major factors money and time,and they are inversely proportional to each other. So less money, more time.

Since 2014, the only notable achievement of this government on the aerospace indigenization front has been Tejas Mk-1A. In 2014, we were significantly ahead of countries like Turkey and now they have leapfrogged past us in every area. Tejas Mk 2 should have been in the final stage of its test flight program by now. When the Rafale deal was cancelled, the Government should have pressurized all the stake holders in Tejas Mk 2 program to expedite the development. 2023 mein jaake funds release hue hain. What does that show?

I have an incling that HAL will bag the TEDBF as well. They are known to have massive free cash reserves which allows them to take on projects which they find feasible. The govt would want the same. HAL will make prototypes and once the project is sanctioned - they will have the infra, research as well as the capability to roll out the fighters

First of all we can't keep both aircraft carriers waiting for TEDBF. We shall acquire rafel in required numbers. 3rd aircraft carriers + mig29k replacement shall be with TEDBF. Still we would see 60-80 TEDBF and maybe by that time Navy would be thinking of flat top aircraft carriers.

think about it in 2015 Indian navy rejected LCA TEJAS NAVAL prototype but even after 8 years there hadn't been any movement related to naval aircraft except TEDBF TEDBF is wholly a different aircraft, if we see navy's situation in 2015, they just had 45 aircraft with a requirement of upto 65-70 by 2020 and seeing the fact we were gonn have 2 AC by 2020 and another by 2027 third being a 70,000 ton class the total requirement was easily reaching 140-150 aircrafts and navy knew that the migs had operational deficiencies so question is why was the number of MRCBF reduced to 26 from 57
