About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Most Bhutanese refugee infact were migrated to Bhutan before 200+ years. The reason why they are kicked out of the nation is not merely because they are illegal. In Fact they asked for democracy, freedom and human Rights, but their voices were taken wrongly as a threat and challenge for absolute government which was under the king Jigme S Wangchuck. Then using the conspiracy theory of illegal immigrant, a unforgettable and shameful ethnic cleansing was done in small beautiful nation. Thanks.

I think you are forgetting the bombings that happened in Thimphu due to them and their maoist agenda. Look it up. The Bhutan Tiger force is a very real and imminent threat to Bhutan. They are an armed militia group that is headed by people who had bombed the capital city (The Bhutan Communist Party). If you don't know about it, you shouldn't speak about it

@Bhutan did Ethnic cleansing of Hindus (Sans error here, using another account) Yes, lllegal immigrants. Yeah right, there was a verification team consisting of people from Nepal and Bhutan called the Joint Verification Team or JVT for short which didn't have any info as you've falsely given above. They were verbally abused, threatened during nights, physically traumatized, being thrown with rocks and stones, being subjected to the whims of those gungdas. Your false info is from a bogus source, probably one of those lllegal immigrants. You say check the paper, show it, prove it, else you're just spewing bs. T'was kicking out lllegal immigrants.

If those indiviauls are guilty, give them punishment according with fair trail, but most of them are prisoned for 30+ years without even charged for any murder, which is totally wrong in any modern judicial system. 30+ years is only for crime like murder. Can somebody verify if the Bhutanese king really met with the Assamese rebels and asked them to leave personally?
@zombieyoutube9606

Yes he met with them coz he don’t want a war. He try to have peace talks many times but they refused not only that they stared to kill innocent people and burn hospitals, school and other things. So lastly our king had no choice left but had to go to war. That Nepali refugee who wrongly tells that they are kicked out of country they are not they are left with their own will...

Yeah he did. Several times and asked politely to leave. We were like 'pls leave, you guys are making us as well as the Indian govt uncomfortable''. They didnt just not listen, they grew belligerent, openly carrying arms and intimidating locals. It was dec 17( our national day), 2003 that they had to be kicked out, which we did in 3 days and 2 nights. With minimum loss of lives on both sides.

Apparently the story of the King handing out apples to the rebels and asking them nicely to leave is all bs. One Bhutanese army major visited a rebel camp and informed them of the arrival of the king the next day. While the rebels were making arrangements to welcome the king and the women cadres preparing Assamese food for the King the camp was attacked. While i'm not against the Royal Bhutanese government for implementing any tactic to rid their country off foreign rebels. But this romanticization of the King by twisting of facts is what bothers me. Liar.
@VisualsGyatsoProd
@VisualsGyatsoProd 3 жыл бұрын
"Apparently". Those rebels were apart of mass bombing happening every other day in Assam, they even killed several Bhutanese living nearby the southern foothills. His Majesty visited them several times, there are reports of incentives such as payment for them to leave. His majesty met them several times even after they tried to have Bhutanese soldiers killed,That "information was a decoy, The Rebels weren't in Bhutan for a day they were here for decades, this wasn't the first time his majesty met the rebels

Well you guys immigrated from Tibet too, may be a century or two ago and we immigrated 90 years ago. So what is the difference....it is only difference of time. What makes people of Tibetan origin more Bhutanese than people of Nepali origin. Original people of Bhutan are DOYAS which you guys don't want to recognize. Give them their due. They are the original inhabitants of Bhutan. Other than them everybody is immigrants in Bhutan. You guys need to educate yourself.

@@indragurung9946 Actually Ngalongs(People of Tibetan origin) settled in the country as early as the 8th century or even earlier. The Lhotshampas(People of Nepalese origin) were brought in by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, The founder of modern-day Bhutan, during the 17th century. You need to educate yourself. And going by your logic Australians and Americans too should “Give them their due” to the native inhabitants as well but do you see them being ignored? Not recognized? I sure don’t. Same goes for the DOYAS as well. Get your facts right before spreading false incorrect information.

@TEDxTalks I am good fan of TEDxTalks, but this video is one sided reality. In my understanding it would be much more connected if the story of forgotten people (Bhutanese Refugee which is 1/6th population of my country) is bring into the light in this presentation. The ethnic cleansing done in my country by Royal government of Bhutan(in the leadership of 4th king Jigme Singye) during post 1980 and pre-1990 is shameful history for us. Being a citizen, it is my responsibility to prevail truth .

Of course you would sympathize with criminals, after all you yourself are one.

Hi there, I appreciate that there should have been more research about both the good sides and bad sides of Bhutan to be discussed or given a talk in TED. But trust me, you know nothing about the King of Bhutan. All that you know is that we have monarch. Ask any citizens of Bhutan about the King, and you will know how different he is, and how much he care for his citizens and the country; and how much the people of Bhutan love him. Do more research urself before you ask TED to do so. Peace!!

Hi, I think you are basing everything you say based on what you see on the picture. It would be better to understand what the old mans teeth shows and what does the "wooden penis" means, before you give your own description. Moreover, everything you see on the picture doesn't show the real picture; it can be deceptive and to some extent depends on how the photographer wants to portrait his work. you misunderstood the drug emphasis to obtain happiness. Come on, we are no as stupid as you think.
