Would be interesting to hear more about the root causes and key barriers. Rwanda example is sad as the power balance changed only after so many men got killed.

yet she says it was a genocide of woman leaving a country with a ratio of 80/20 woman and men, so when 99% of the people who died were men i imagine or at least almost all were men how is that a genocide of woman then goes on to say it was a good thing because it handed the power to woman while they could still just blame men for everything, not being happy being handed power even if theyr handed the majority of power with little responcability, she wants to take the power and use the hardwork of men to live easy without any responcability, shes crazy

How much 'empowerment' do western women need though? We're at a point where we may as well just buy every young girl a blutooth headset and put an audio file on repeat with 'you're competent, brave, funny, smart and powerful' running 24/7.
@elpmaxena6374

That's the whole point she explains. Not superficial empowerment, but becoming aware of what is the root issue that 'empowerment' seeks to displace.

When we are treat with the same dignity and respect as a man. Women are not placed on earth to serve another human being.

If you prioritize one group over the other, the idea of equality goes out the window; an often touted goal of feminism.

Agreed! It's sad, but it seems like dramatic examples are always needed. Hopefully, here in the west, we can use this example to better ourselves. Honestly, the level to which Women are de-valued suggests to me that, while we need to prioritize Women, we also need to de-prioritize men. Some ways we could do this would be limiting male access to higher education unless certain academic scores are met. We could reduce male leadership opportunities to less than half. I honestly think we should start though with eliminating the privilege of land ownership for males as this would transfer wealth to Women.

she sounded like the genocide was a good thing because it left the country being mostly woman since it was men who died in the civil war, she made it sound like it was a mass genocide of woman, basically saying nwarly a million woman died in a genocide leaving the country with 80% being woman, which was a good thing, men are the oppressors, dont let them give you a bunch of power, take it from them, prioratize woman, manipulate men into giving up their rights so woman can have all the rights and power so that they can take the rest of their rights and power away from them, all because most the important figures in history have been men, for good reason, men are stronger, risk their lives to make change, woman by biological genetics through evolution lack this drive naturally, its not mens fault and its actually an advantage to our species the human race, screw all men, use them to gain control then take them out, this woman is a nut job and is enjoying the power men gave her a little too much, the power men shed blood for to gain, a world run by woman is good for woman and somehow this benefits men, shes manipulative and wants to push men into a civil war so they kill each other off leaving the majority of the population as woman, shes probably aiming for 95% woman so the rest of the 5% being men can be used as cattle to produce babies and culling excess boys off at birth

I find it so amusing that you discovered that in fact women were overrepresented on that list in the class room. Why? Because their roles were supportive throughout history, so eminence came through the male gender. Instead of acknowledging this idea, you have just tried to call it injustice. This is so misguided

shes pissy that men have been credited for most the hardwork throughout history while men doen most the hard work throughout history so now she wants to take the power for woman, taking all the power and hardwork of men as her own and using them as a scape goat, all the power none of the responcability, a genocide of woman that left the country mostly woman because it was infact men who died in that genocide almost entirely yet somehow it was a genocide of woman that was good because it left woman in charge, shes happy that men worked hard and died to leave the riches they worked so hard for to woman to enjoy lavishly without a drop of sweat

No. It isn’t good because there are “more” women- it’s just a sign of a country managing to overcome the past few centuries/ millennia of patriarchal influence. Hopefully we get to a point where whether or not a country has more men or more women in government don’t matter. :)

Rwanda or kagame is government are prioritizing women with the fear that putting more men in power they will become the biggest opposition to take kagame down where as he sees women as less threatening to his power. I wish it was for a good will to promote women in Rwanda but it's not the case.

The more I listen to this, the less I believe it. I don´t know much about Rwanda, but I believe that it´s a society that steel relies on family values. Western countries don´t. Feminism in our countries have become an extreme form of individualism, focused on giving women what they want and holding men back. Not even the children´s rights are prioritized, as seen by the resistance towards shared custody, obligaory DNA test for paternity and the struggle for women´s right to become a mother without a known father - despite the children´s right to know about their ancestry. I´m a Swede, a country heavily dominated by feminism, and for what I can see it´s going down. The results in school are plummeting, the gang violance is rapant, Sweden has now the highest murder rates in Europe except for Ukraine. The brain drain is notable. The Rwanda example is not to be taken out of it´s context, I believe. On the countrary: women are ruining our society. Universities are becoming politicized and irrelevant, the HR are growing like a cancer making obstructing everything in the corporative world. Women have had the same career opportunities for decades, yet we have seen very few inventions made by women and few big enterprises created by women.

i agree, these feminists want all the power and none of the responcability, theyr not happy with being handed most the power because its never enough, they have to have all the power with none of the hard work or responcability, the fact that she said it was a genocide of woman then how come it was almost all men who died leaving the country with few men and heaps of woman which was a good thing for woman because its not about equality its about having an easy life while men do all the work and get all the blame and none of the power, young men are seen as tools at best, devalued and treated like criminals and thrown in jail for thinking for themselves by the sexist system, woman already hold more power while doing less work and theyr still trying sooo hard to get more inequality towards men and demonize men because they did most the work building the world, when men suffer they commit suicide, when woman cant get a man they marry their dog

I feel like "prioritising" is not different from "empowering" because both are granted by another party...I would say "intentionally and deliberately closing the gender inequality gap created by past systematic discriminations for centuries" is a better way putting it. On a side note, in developing countries, many women do still need to be empowered to break out of cultural or religious barriers etc. So I don't necessarily think empowering is failing women.
