Dr. Naranbaatar Dashdorj hails from very humble beginnings. He was born and raised at the southwestern outskirt of Mongolia known as Gobi-Altai province, where the Altai Mountains border with the bare rock covered desert basins of the Gobi. Currently, Dr. Naranbaatar is a physicist and beamline scientist at the Advanced Photon Source of the Argonne National Laboratory, one of the U.S. Department of Energyʼs largest and oldest national laboratories for science and engineering research.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
