Frida in the lead. The woman is so versatile. You've just gone from her haunting almost dangerous lead in the Visitors to this Angelic delivery in Andante Andante. And of course when the two of them sing the chorus what can you say. And also of course Benny's doing his magic.

Man the way she holds that last note is perfection. Another great Frida song is Like An Angel Passing Through My Room. At the time it was the last song to feature on their last album

My favourite ABBA song of all, that one. Ever hear the Sissel Kyrkjebo version of it? Gorgeous in another way entirely.

This is Frida, the red head, in lead vocals. Beautiful song. She does most of the slow ballads and has the rich smooth and sultry voice for it. That note at the end, one of the longest held notes I've heard! other great songs with her in lead are "gonna sing you my love song" or "one man one woman"

Frida's so versatile, she had/has so many different sounds and ways of interpreting songs. It's almost impossible to grasp that this is the same leadsinger as the leadsinger in The Visitors which you just reacted to as well. In Andante Andante her voice is soft, dreamy and passionate. In the Visitors it's eery, claustrophobic and desperate. A true artist!
@SophiaPangloss4 ай бұрын
Isn't that a beauty. 'Andante' is a musical term, it means 'slowly'. I love the line 'tread lightly on my ground', it's so delicate. I remember when I was a kid my aunt said she liked this track, it almost put me off because I thought I hated all music older people liked. That was a lesson to me, some music is so good it can cross generations and touch anyone.

Hello Chase... This is a firm favourite with us older ABBA fans, Frida (the dark haired one)takes lead vocals in this, Agnetha was always the one that got the most attention from the press and media because of her traditional Swedish looks so Frida was always overlooked but believe me when I tell you she has the most beautiful voice and she is a favourite with a lot of us older fans, IV been a fan since they won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with Waterloo, I saw them live in concert at Wembley Arena in London in 1979, they are very different on stage than what you see in their videos.... Great reaction video, look forward to your next one. 🇬🇧🧐

Both woman are gorgeous. Here's my opinion. Agnetha is Blonde, pretty, and cute. Frida is a classic beauty. I don't think comparisons are fair to either of them. If either of them was missing from the band, there would be no ABBA. People have tried with tribute bands to emulate their sound. It can't be done without both women.
@evedavey24754 ай бұрын

I'm an older ABBA fan and I always was Agnetha's lover, since the first time I saw them at Eurovision too. I was a teenager and couldn't sleep at night for her. However I agree with you in almost everything. There's one thing to say about hair color. The real natural hair of Agnetha is black! But she has been duping us all this time because she always dyed her hair. In fact the blonde color suits her a lot, making her adorably gorgeous; that's why she remains my idol anyway. You can see her true color in some old photos of her when she was very young. Likewise in several official videos of them, in the hair center overhead, her natural dark color is appearing in the parting. That's the regrowth from last dyeing. It can be strikingly seen in Take a Chance On Me and When I Kissed the Teacher's official videos, for instance. So, my friend, this could be a surprise for many, but in terms of natural hair color Agnetha was probably darker than Frida. .

This song is a real jewel ! Andante means both slowly and smoothly. The song is saying it is the right tempo to make love and maybe sex. If you really like to explore the many different sides of ABBA you could even try their multiple folk sides: "Put On Your White Sombrero", "I Have a Dream", "When You Danced With Me". (The last one is from the very last album Voyage, released in 2022.

Listen to the Spanish version of this song. It's even better and the last part of the song with the vocal sustainence proves that abba is a name to reckon with. Frida's voice is pure liquid gold on this track.

With around 30 you still have 95 to go!! Because they are randomly picked it wil be harder and harder to advice one without checking what you have already done. Did you do 'name of the game' (brilliant) or 'the piper' (very original!) 'Head over heals' or 'that's me' or the beautiful 'my love my life' 'One of us'? It is an almost endless cataloge of top pop jewels!

hello dear friend, happy to see you at our ABBA Journey "Andante Andante" (1980) It is one of the songs from the album "Super Trouper", never performed by ABBA, nor was it made an official video (it remained as a track from the álbum) It is one of the ABBA songs that has a title in another language Italian, like Mamma Mia others are Voulez Vous (French) Santa Rosa, Fernando and Chiquitita (Spanish) It is a beautiful song of love, romance and eroticism, like no other has ABBA (which is actually more remembered for its songs of breakup and melancholy) Frida's sweet voice is ideal for this soft melody, the chorus is powerful, and it ends with a great solo by Frida Andante Andante is one of the songs that ABBA recorded in Spanish in this album, together with "Happy New Year" (it comes soon) Many years later, in 2016, Frida recorded it in Spanish as a soloist, at her 70 years, accompanied by Arturo Sandoval. (oddly enough, before the ABBA reunion) Here I leave the video to see, with the link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rJiYg9B7uK2vdJc.html I wish you a great new weekend my best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina South America

Actually not my song. However, when we drive back to the holiday apartment in spring or autumn from a dinner by the sea somewhere in Italy, France or Spain, this brings us the peaceful mood, perhaps the entire Spanish CD ABBA Oro=Gold. There is a "sister song" Our Last Summer with a great guitar solo. Thanks, just keep it up. ABBA Holiday Songs: Hasta Manana; Happy Hawaii (another longer version of Why It Have To Be Me); Nina Pretty, Ballerina. ABBA "folksongs": Move On (for awaking!!!); I've Been Waiting For You (there's a good video German TV Musikladen; rights???); When You Dance With Me (short new song). For many ABBA fans: The Name Of The Game/UK no.1 = an another side, but a gem.

Agnetha does not have the immersive colour, velvety warmth, depth, and tonal control to sing like this. Her voice is higher, brighter, crystal clear and therefore thinner and more “cold” sounding - which combines in the chorus with Frida to create their unique magical aural phenomenon. Both ladies are truly amazing, but in this song Frida’s beautiful voice really shines
