Master Splinter has always had a special place in my heart. He was done wrong by a freak string of events, turned into a rat, and stead of wallowing in the filth he saves four turtles (and let’s be real, if you found four turtles would you consider that the animal you’d want to spend your life raising and training?) he teaches them all he knows, good morals, fighting skills and the flourish despite having no physical attachment to them. He’s a perfect father figure. I always wanted to be a teenage mutant ninja turtle when I was younger just so I could serve master splinter and make him proud.

Some people are taking a *parody* too *seriously* in the comment section here. Some of them are trying to write a blog. Calm down people, it's not going to be in the latest comics or episodes. lolz I was a 90s kid, watched the 80s, to 2000s, to 2012 Turtles. I'm not bitchin'. I'm laughing my ass off. Jeez... teens these days...

Why Donny was the sports guy instead of the tecky with a cellphone? Why Raph was the fatso instead of the goth emo? I think they got the turtles wrong. Leo is the jock, Raph is the goth, Donny is the nerd and Mike is the one with the eating dissorder. IMHO.

If the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles acted more like stereotypical teenagers and less like crime-fighting pizza-eating heroes, their franchise would bomb for sure.

This only applies to modern teens. We dinosaurs didn't have cell phones when the cartoon this skit is based on was made. The military had them, but the fossil-phones that you sometimes mistake for low-quality kid's walkies talkies weren't a thing until I think 1996. Might have been a year earlier or later. Pay phone booths were still a thing back then, too. The closest thing to them was probably a satellite phone like you see in the second Jurassic Park movie. You know, the phone in the briefcase? They were bulky, the signals were unreliable, and they didn't have screens (both the satellite phones, and the first civilian cell phones). I've still got my mom's old one somewhere in my assorted nic nacs collection.
