As a British person who grew up surrounded by Mcfly, I find it so alien that they have no idea who he is/they are

As a British teen I was just like WHAT!?!? How have they never heard of McFly!!!!!!!???? 😱🎩

When Tom came up all thought they were all gonna be like "Oh my God, McFly!!!" But none of them even knew who he was!? How do you not know McFly?!?!
