Whilst there are certain things that are not going back in the bottle our enlightenment world is extremely fragile, and that's when its working to design. Culture and identity are becoming important in a way that they WEREN'T 20 years ago, and in a way that they have been for the majority of human history.

However the actual working, hired staff at these companies are almost entirely college graduates. The majority of startups are also now started by college graduates. Fareed's information was accurate 15-20 years ago, but the tech industry has changed since then. The more tech oriented we become, the more people without tech degrees will fall behind. That is the concern about a technocracy.
