This video should definitely include INFORMATION on the mobile backup feature of the smart modem!!! Inform users what the blue light on the front means... ie its in backup mode using the telstra 3g/4g network.

Is that good
@tmillerau2 жыл бұрын
@@justthatguy971 certainly it is fantastic. It means even if there has been a damage or fault to the NBN service you will have ability to make calls and keep a internet connection until the NBN is restored by the technicians. Ie redundancy

@UCzO5Uqkd6T0ZJ5pP-OF-51g yes most definitely, you need to contact your provider and notify them your service is only working in backup mode. This way they can run some tests and log a service restoration ticket with NBN to restore your service. Note: to avoid time delays be sure nothing at your site is faulty,if it's first use be sure you are plugging into correct socket and the right wiring of modem (check manual)

i have a yellow light on the online part on the back, the front light shows green. it does not work through LAN cable either. it says I have a connection but then it does not work
@tmillerau2 жыл бұрын
Is the wan/dsl light green? Do a factory reset (paperclip in reset hole at back for 4 seconds) Check your user guide to confirm all the cables are plugged correctly.

Ok i just got my new Telstra Smart Modem for nbn now i'm A existing telstra fixed wireless customer, if i plug this new modem in and ad the new password user name, how long would i need to wait before my internet is up and running / working again? Thank you.
@tmillerau2 жыл бұрын
Are you talking about adding the new wifi ssid and password to your devices? As the modem doesn't require any passwords and usernames on fixed wireless. Once you know the correct UNI-D port of the NBN FW device, connect that straight to the red WAN port of the smart modem and it work straight away. The WAN and online lights will be green on the back, and the front light will be green also

Product life cycle of most consumer electronics is about 6 months. The promotional and training materials should keep pace with the new product releases.

What turns orange exactly, which light? And what type of Internet service do you have? ADSL, fixed wireless, FTTN, Fttp??? Factory reset the modem, then go though the fault finding steps with your provider to diagnose if that does not restore it.

That means that's its not on the NBN service!!! Either: 1/ you connected it up not to the correct NBN socket in your house (try other sockets like the kitchen or bedroom to see if it works) 2/ the modem wiring is incorrect, recheck slowly the manual diagram for the correct way to plug in the socket to your type of service. 3/ has a fault, contact your service provider to diagnose with testing if this is the case, then they can book NBN to investigate and resolve. 4/ to speed the process you can employ a skilled registered data cable that knows how to check wiring for NBN, that will confirm the problem is outside in the network, and can't be fixed quickly inside

It's working on telstra backup 4G mobile network and not the NBN. You need to contact your provider and diagnose the issue, and possibly book a NBN tech visit!! Backup is only a temp service, with limited data and speeds... the modem is meant to be green when it's on the NBN
