all original i cant decide which is the best song. the whole ep is such a masterpiece and so well written by her i can only say she is outstanding and by far the best singer of this decade and diamond is an even bigger surprise I have never experienced in my whole life that an EP only contains number 1 songs, each of the 6 songs is a hit and worthy of a Grammy, I hope that Republic Records will finally start the promo engine and it will be played on radio and TV, only KZfaq is not enough. This entire video was an excellent way to promote Angelina's statement that her new album would have a retro 60s vibe. Hence, the polka dot platform shoes, her beloved grandmother who introduced her to all the artists that influenced Angelina, the classic Porsche, the guitar that Elvis reportedly played during his '68 Comeback Special, (all the more reason that guitar should be in a case), her Priscilla Presley hairstyle, the black&white video, the old microphone...all fits that "retro" feel Angelina was targeting.

After listening to the EP so many times I noticed something about these tracks. It appears that this song and perhaps the next are very old-school jazz but as you progress they have a much more modern sound with track 6 "Diamond" not sounding like anything Angelina has ever done before.

Personally I consider the whole EP shockingly great. I know I should not be surprised. That is what is normal with Angelina, but though she has always sung multiple genre but in her New EP she is serving genre cocktails.every track is different and each has a different balance of genre some a little heavier on the the R&B some the funky beat. All tied together with her outstanding sultry soulful jazzy vocals. The arc going from unrequited love to the triumphant self belief of DIAMOND.

Shortly, Angelina was born in Oslo, Norway. She's singing ever she could remember. None in family is a singer, but that lady you saw in the video is her Norwegian/Persian grandmother, established painter with a lot of exhibitions. Her grandfather was Japanese. Her father is Swedish. She does have a little sister, Juliette. Her mom's brother was a DJ, and is now her manager. At age 7 she insisted to her mom to let her compete in Norway Got Talent, and she won. Her grandmother did some of the artistic arrangements in her videos, and some of her costumes. She wrote a book about her meeting a little girl somewhere in Middle East when visiting. The girl was trying to make a living by weighing people in the streets, and she didn't have shoes. She also donated the money she earned on NGT and on her book to non profit foundation for children. She was and still is fascinated by jazz.
