Very Honest review... The film has its flaws but still a great cinematic experience. Second viewing does add more to the story... especially Neil's POV.

Thanks! That's reassuring - I was hoping that Neil's character would be more rewarding on a second go, given the ending.

On contrast with Interstellar and Dunkirk, which were huge duds for me, Tenet is a very solid movie with top notch acting, amazing visuals, great score and impressive camerawork. The screenplay was nothing to write home about, considering the entire plot was pretty much built around those key action scenes in the movie. But it doesn't come to the movie's detriment. Overall, 8/10 imo.

Completely agree, it's definitely a spectacle movie first and foremost but it seems to be very self-aware of this, and it's arguably successful at it.

@@focal_point Yes, my thoughts exactly. While watching the movie I got a feeling that some of the scenes were deliberately cut-out so that the movie would not lose its dynamics. I later read that several sets were built for the movie but never used - probably yet another indicator of Nolan wanting to keep his film focused and not bog it down.
