Some of the explosive concepts that Tennessee used against Alabama along with some of the goal line concepts.

Tenn did a great job, all year, running mid-depth crossing patterns. It caused issues against the best defenses in the nation, namely Bama and Georgia, even against Cam Smith from South Carolina, probably the first Corner taken in the upcoming Draft.

I love how the offense makes you cover every blade of grass and how a lot of looks look so similar but have about 6 or 7 different actions to them. Gives defenses headaches trying to defend and if you get a defender thinking instead of reacting and catch them flat footed, you've already won.

And Hendon is such a great distributor of the football. He understands the offense and just executes it to bear perfection.

My guess at the end is that they expected coverage to hold up well so they had lbs focus on a check down for rb that could potentially get them in field goal position instead of attacking the qb

That definitely could be the case. Thanks for watching!

Great game by Tenn. Their plan was really good. They knew that those stack formations into the boundary would bring the star into the boundary and give #11 Hyatt a match up on #2 Hellams. No reroute or free releases from non stack formations really hurt Bama. Shocked there was no adjustments. Sorry my Bama Fandom is showing lol

I was a really good plan. You could see that they had some stuff last year that was really hard for them to stop with their scheme.

Our coach has this idea this year. We can score 50 and you can't score 51

Really cool breakdown of these schemes. TL;DR Tennessee knew Hyatt was faster than Bama's secondary, especially #2, and dared them to catch him.

They found a matchup that they really liked and made the most of it. Thanks for watching!

What are the benefits of having super wide splits by the WRs and why don't more teams run the spread like this?
@coachescaviar8898 Жыл бұрын
Good question. The wide splits make the defenders really declare if they are box players or going to guard the WR's. That makes the RPO's and other things easier to read. It also makes teams more likely to be one high from the start of the play instead of being able to roll after the snap. Lots of benefits with the splits, but you also have to have a QB with a big arm to feel good about throwing the ball that wide for screens as well as shots. Just a few of the thoughts that I have had on wide splits. Thanks for watching!
