Wait... So you’re telling me... Araki doesn’t necessarily hate dogs... But kills dogs to make people seem evil because most people can agree that They like social, docile, positive and happy animals. Which dogs are. Damn, this shows in subtle ways how Araki is one of the, if not the top writers in manga. The more i take a look at arakis work, the more impressed i become each goddamn time.

then here is another proof that he is the best mangaka in the world: emperor tarot card means you need to be in control , you are your own ,,emperor". at the end of boingo and hol horse episode he stops using his intuition and believes boingo, wich is the opposite of what his tarot card means. mind blown? aslo: emperor card is 4, hanged man(his first partner) has his legs shaped as reversed 4, he appeard alongside 4 enemies: hanged man, justice, boingo, and dio, and he shot himself 4 times: once in justice arc, and three times in boingo hol horse arc. SOOO 4x4. aslo he is the only stand user that has a stand gun except for mista ( i know there is this pink hair guy in part 6 but im anime only ok?) so : hol horse is mistas biggest enemy. even worse that jhin. mind blown x2?

This arc was actually my introduction to the entire Jojo series. My brother used the anime episode as a hook to show what Jojo's was all about, and I loved it. It definitely contributed to me later reading all of parts 1-5, which are all fantastic.

The first half is a little weak, and some of the fights really don't hit home (you can really feel Araki's fatigue from the weekly publishing format in part 6 more so than before; it's hard to overstate how much the series was revitalized by the transition to monthly publishing in part 7). But honestly, I'd say the same of part 3. In the second half, it gets insanely good, and the villain is easily one of my favorites of the entire franchise. Just power through that first half and you'll understand. And do yourself a favor and read Part 7 and 8. You don't even really need to read the previous parts to understand them since they're completely disconnected from them, and part 7 is without a doubt Araki's best work. (But still finish part 6.)

This was my favorite episode hands down. Just the sheer suspense and ultimately the hilarity of it all had me dying. Araki knew just how to string us along. And by the end we dont feel disappointed or angry, but happy and amused by how it was all a miss understanding and ended happily.

I think I was the only one who suspected Tonio to be good. And my reasoning being is that the killer chef trope was overdone before and not exactly original. And knowing Araki, he most likely wouldn't have gone for that completely but instead still keep the illusion of that trope to play with our expectations and suspense. Oh and also the subtle hints...

I must admit, having a fun arc like this really did really help the pacing of Diamond is Not Crash. If it just had a bunch of villains, it would suffer from the fatigue brought on by that tactic in Stardust Crusaders. Plus, it's honestly pretty funny to read in retrospect. This brings the question, what if someone was born with a deformity like, say, my father for example who only has one testicle because the other one is actually inside his organs. If my father ate the food, what would happen? Well, that's a gruesome story I don't wanna hear about, but is probably gonna haunt me for the rest of my days.

I just noticed this, but if you think about it the way the innocent doggo is living inside a metal cage instead of a dog house also gives off an eery vibe, like Tonio's keeping him prisoner instead of just taking care of him.

I love that literally everything that **could** have been used as plot armor was addressed way before it would be necessary to use it. Pearl Jam could've have healed Josuke when Crazy Diamond cannot from sickness or something similar, but it was set up much earlier which would make it seem much less like plot armor in the long run, avoiding another "same stand" ass pull.
