Awesome. Apps like this cannot easily be developed in the United States because data costs masquerading as privacy protections prevent open source data.

Interesting to see such AI innovations developed in poor African countries like Kenya, BUT if that technology works well, I am quite sure that it will be bought by some tech giants like Google!

@@ThePRINCEBARPAGA I know that TensorFlow is developed by Google. I am talking about Tambua Health and not Tensorflow itself that is used by many startups and even other big companies like AirBnb, Ebay, Intel, AirBus, CEVA, Snapchat, SAP, Uber, Twitter, and IBM.

Is not better to have prepared doctors that know how to detect this kind of problems? I mean, it's not an early cancer detector. Maybe we can do better with AI that de-responsabilize medicians. I apreciate it only as an educational activity.

@dodeca hedron one problem that would appear is doctors over-relaying on the computerized models, making them less capable of identifying problems themselves. This happened on aviation when the autopilot was introduced, and has caused various accidents over the years. Pilots still need thousands of hours of training to graduate, but after graduating and passing years without actually controlling the plane mid-flight, things can and will go wrong.

@@Karma_komodo Its like saying we should completely ban seat belts and train drivers to driver safer.
@Karma_komodo
@Karma_komodo 4 жыл бұрын
@@xordux7 No, I didn't mean that auto pilot should not exist. It definitely should and has probably saved more lifes than taken. But that's a problem that it can have and that should be taken into account. Regular tests for pilots or doctors would reduce this problem.
