Misleading. Shows orange on the box but it’s yellow.

what does the battery function? I turned it off from the wall and the device didn't work....

Battery function for keep the clock still running and for alarm, if you turn off from ac the radio and screen not function. Alarm and clock still work.

If you need to set alarm just switch alarm A or alarm B to right side and just press + or -.

I'm American but I love the UK Plugs, UK plugs like that are a brilliant technological invention, especially how the wall sockets have the shutters on them that won't allow someone to stick their finger in them. Love the UK, they come up with some of the neatest inventions.
