@@0g0dn0 He tried in his early career but he couldn't really do it well and once he became a star that was pretty much his trademark from then on. Notably in the first Terminator he's trying to cut the accent from his voice (and succeeds in a few lines) but pretty much can't do it reliably. He at least was able to thin out his accent enough to make him understandable. In his first film Hercules in New York he's practically unintelligible and was dubbed over by another actor (after he became famous and original cut was released with his own voice and it's rough)

For those wondering why Sgt candy didn't get arrested in 1984, after the police station shooting the answer is simple. He would have only been 14 years old at the time T1 tool place. Sgt candy is based on a 37 year old Arnold frame and build. Meaning the real Sgt candy would have been in highschool during the events of t1 and joined the military around the events of t2 as Pvt candy 18 or so
@Ofnir_12 жыл бұрын
He'd probably be a Staff Sergeant or Technical Sergeant in T2 since it takes place in 1995 and he'd be 25 at that point. It'd also be impossible for him to be a Private because the Air Force doesn't use that rank. (Source: Currently enlisted in the Air Force)
@johnnyk6172 жыл бұрын
@@Ofnir_1 in t3 John Connor mentions it's been 10 years since t2. So t2 confirmes it was 1994. And considering sgt candy has to spend at least 12 months as an e4 before promotion I can't see him being a cmsgt e-9 is quite a ways away from e5-maybe -e6

@@johnnyk617 If CMSgt Candy was born in 1970 and joined at 18 (1988) he could at least be a SSgt in 1995. For example promoted to SrA in March of 19 but I joined in September of 16. Had I promoted a month earlier I could have tested for SSgt after I promoted

Conveniently forgotten from the 1984 film: We see in flashback another human-like Terminator that is definitely not Arnold (real enough to get inside the base, revealed only by the barking guard dogs). I would suspect SkyNet has a least a few different bodies that wrap around the same T-800 chassis. Remember: "infiltration" doesn't work if you can recognize the T-800 by sight (though I would certainly be suspicious of anyone human that big when everyone else is starving).

In my opinion t3 had to be made, regardless how bad it is. It showed a teen traumatized since he was a boy, almost killed by a cyborg who can change into anyone or anything... Soon after t-2 ended, his mom passed away, leaving him alone to fend for himself. He had to live as hobbo, no profile, no credit card, no identification, and always live in fear coz you wont know when the next terminator strikes!...id go insane too if i was him. Until another terminator "taught" him how to man up and became a leader. Also its that movie he met his future wife which explains more about the leader of resistance john connor. Thats what t3 is about to me.

CodenameD The way I see it Arnie wasn't wrong, Judgement Day couldn't be stopped only because no matter what they did Skynet was still going to be made and it will repeat the same pattern as its alternate timeline selves. Also, Samuel L. jackson as the voice of Arnold and that guy that says "We can fix it" has the voice of Arnold, nice haha, they really should have left this in.

That guy that says we can fix it, is actually Arnold’s real voice

This shows that the right way to do a Terminator sequel after T2 was to make it a flat-out comedy. If only they had tried it.
@KomodoNameless11 жыл бұрын
Yes, he was voiced by Arnold. In-universe they "fixed" the Sergeant Candy's accent by replacing the voice of the T-800 with that of the CRS guy, the one with the remote.
@blatherskite30093 жыл бұрын
This is literally the only worthwhile 2 minutes of footage to come out of all the Terminator films after T2. And they left it on the cutting room floor. It's funny as f (IMHO) and explains why T-800s look and talk the way they do. That "We can fix it" line slays me every time. Now all we need is an "Ultimate Cut" of T2 with the old Sarah Conner happy ending and this scene as a mid-credits treat, and I can forget everything after T2 ever existed :)

I liked the first one the best.
@joeyclemenza73399 жыл бұрын
ShadowSonic2 the first one is much more darker (and in some ways nightmare inducing) while the second is more "high octane" action, much like a roller coaster with explosions. i loved them both, but they're really two entirely different movies.
@ShadowSonic29 жыл бұрын
Joey Velarde The second one is really just a rehash of the 1st one IMO. Only with more explosions and less of a sensible plot.
@joeyclemenza73399 жыл бұрын
ShadowSonic2 you're right, it really is. still, it's a fun time. the tone of both movies are almost night and day though.

@sumspring4112 Жыл бұрын
Kinda? Terminator 3, after rewatching it tonight, is a... mixture. Clearly it knew it had an uphill battle to fight, so instead of going for an overly serious, like, great movie, it instead had fun with itself and just... went for it. I get most people hate it because it seems to be a joke of a movie, but... I believe that's the point. It's so absurd and I think it knows that.

for one thing, it was stated in the first movie that the terminator was built by the machines to infiltrate humanity. i can't be bothered to think up other things right now (3 am) but there's a bunch of other plot holes too... I read about them on Cracked or something.
@TheCinemaNut9 жыл бұрын
stfwho I don't think that's a plot hole, they're creating the very first generation of robots and were later improved by skynet over the years after judgement day. There's nothing to say that the humans didn't already have the idea for the terminators but didn't have the chance to build them before the nuclear strike.

They just should have let Paul Verhoven direct a Terminator sequel, it would have been brutal and darkly hilarious. And if anyone thinks that's a horrible idea, just look at Terminator: Salvation and Genisys, couldn't get worse than those.

I think Salvation was pretty good. Although it probably would have been praised if it keep its original ending. And before you ask the original ending is John Connor dies and they change Marcus Wright to look like John so he can lead the resistance and eventually leads to its downfall.
@surajtomar48707 жыл бұрын
I think Terminator 4 is underrated. Bale's performance was awesome as always and it was dark too. I think the idea of Marcus Wright ruined it.
@pepintechnlogy796510 жыл бұрын
Complete nonsense. 1. If the military had Arnold looking cyborgs, then the whole T-600 series of Terminators does not make sense. This contradicts everything Kyle Reese says in the first movie. 2. If Sargent Candy exist, then he has a lot to explain after having killed dozens of cops in the first movie, and shooting so many others in the second movie. He would be in jail. To the eyes of the police, he is the responsible for everything the terminators did.
@SKYap-xv9vu9 жыл бұрын
3. Did the Sargent talked to the hand?
@Ericwvb26 жыл бұрын
1. Those look like early models with the latex skin Kyle Reese talked about. The terminatrix supercharged their software and Skynet took over the production facilities and started cranking out ever more advanced models. 2. He may have had a solid alibi - That does look like me, but I was on vacation in Fiji at the time!

I can imagine a scene in salvation or some other futurewar setting where an aged and crippled sgt. Candy gets shot because they thought he was a T800 only to be mortified when his happy but sorrowful candy voice asks why things had to be this way. Poor Sgt. Candy.

I always thought Terminator 3 was actually good. It knew at the outset, it couldn't possibly compete with Terminator 1, and Terminator 2, so it didn't take itself too seriously, which is why I actually thoroughly enjoyed the film and why I don't really talk shit on it. I mean yea, if you want to end the series at Terminator 2, that's fine, but I don't think it was an unholy addendum to the series.
@TEVANGAMELTV6 жыл бұрын
you ever heard of the ogwalt theory where terminator 3 is just a parody of the other the movies and you watch it terminator 1, terminator salvation, terminator 2? and then terminator 3 is just there if you wanna have a good laugh REPLY
