@@BenjisHobbies I do have a question for you; With such thin MDF bases, did you experience any warping with the base at all? I have heard of MDF Sealer spray that can prevent warping and protect the MDF.

That setup looks great especially with the matching floor tiles on your new board. I’ve bought from firedragon in the past but it looks like the have added a few new items. You are a life saver with that home made wash, I’ve been going through Agrax and Nuln at an alarming to my wallet rate. I’ll definitely be giving that a go.
@BenjisHobbies
@BenjisHobbies Жыл бұрын
When I got the kit I didn’t realise that the floor tiles matched, but it’s a really nice feature! They’re a great resource if you’re short on time or don’t have the ability to carve out bricks/tiles etc yourself. It’s a great way of making washes! If you want it darker or lighter just add more/less ink to it 😊 Definitely a LOT cheaper than Agrax/Nuln oil for terrain applications!

@@harazhangf5782 I know right! What I love about it is the modularity. It can literally represent any sort of ruin you want. My board is giving off Osgiliath vibes but could be any sort of ruin or individual little houses. I think I’ll be picking another set up to fill the board out!

What an excellent looking kit! You do it justice too with your great finishing. Maybe a silly question, but what size are the bricks? Their site doesn't say and I'm wondering how they would stack up against some terrain I already have. The fact that they sell bags of these bricks separately definitely makes it interesting going forward anyway.

Burnt Sienna is my favourite. It’s what I use for cooking when I run out of soy sauce… They’re pretty versatile for terrain etc. I’ve not used them much on minis but I can’t see why you couldn’t. Apparently they work great through an airbrush!

Foam ruins normally need a craft knife at minimum, let along carving tools, hot wire cutters, templates, jigs etc… This didn’t use any tools at all, so if you’re starting out and want a dabble this is an easy stepping on point.
