Can’t wait for all the land battleship designs everybody is gonna make...

When building my fleet of large hovering battleships (under the name NMC in the workshop) i found it best to have an even number of naval canons on both sides of the ship, front and back or left and right, so it negates the recoil most of the time, so you can get more coverage and the recoil is pretty bearable. Just a thought. And side note, the hive missiles are kinda more of an AA weapon as far as i can tell, but i really like that idea of having them backwards and rain from the sky

You NEED to make a flying battleship with 3 or 4 of those cannons!

I think it would be super cool if you could “lock” turret weapons so their hit boxes would be much smaller BUT it couldn’t turn. Maybe you could click and drag a radius to whatever you want, like the naval gun could be locked to 45 degrees and the hit box would reflect that

They added a few more shades of grey (thankfully not as many as 50) to the old EXP skin

It’s similar to from the depths small missile, where it can find any small weak points after the heavy weapons deal with the main defences Edit: like it would be good against movement parts, batteries, and aircraft parts, etc.

9:39 having them at the back forces the missles to hit the top of the tech, and the fops of techs are usually relatively undefended.

for airships a combination of the different explosive weapons I think would just be broken like naval cannons for dealing with ground targets and hive missiles for other aircraft but could be easily replaced by any other decent missile based missile or even anything that can make up for it's weakness against sheilds

Actually the old and the new battleship cannons, can be paired quite well on a tech, the (actual) battleship cannon as a “fixed” heavy duty weapon and the type 45 as high fire-rate weapon for a more “all around” defence. More or less like the char B1 and the M3 lee (a french and american pre-WWII tanks)

Reticule Research items will stay in Reticule Research. The TerraTech devs even said it might be like the other corporations, like XP and all that.

The type 45 naval guns rotation range makes sense it's kind of realistic to real battleships where they'd have them in line and you won't want the gun to be able to rotate back into your own ship.

4 hives + 1 naval cannon would be an amazing fairly small craft. Naval cannon would be the shield breaker, and the hives would be the punish.

I want to see a flier with 6 to 8 of those missile launchers, with at least 4 mounted on the back, facing backward, but with their mounting points rotated 90 degrees, so there's one upright, one mounted on each side, and one mounted upside down. Then either the same on the front or just 2 mounted a short distance apart or on wings or something. You should be able to get a full on Macross style launch pattern with the things...

i bet a lot of people would love it if you had "Terratech Tuesdays" and "FTD Fridays"

Lathrix you could have a bunch of the type 40s and then you could have some of the battleship cannons. This will beat shields and anything else.

So, the Type 45 Naval Gun seems to be named after the real-world 5" Mk 45 Naval Gun, which is use on current-generation ships of war. The Mk 45 isn't ever going to be seen in a triple turret like that, though, which seems to be styled more after the big 16" Mk 7 cannons found on the Iowa-class Battleships.

The 45 Naval cannon kinda like Venture double cannon, but much faster firing rate and more DPS. Looks cooler too.

With those new naval cannons you should try making a flying battleship. Kind of like Battleship Yamato. That’d be pretty cool.

I'm a big fan of Naval ordnance, the naval guns are definitely my kind of weapon. I'd probably use it everywhere lol.

After I watched your age old and loved videos of Avorion I haven't been able to find a KZfaqr I have enjoyed watching play Avorion I think you should make a new series for Avorion as the added some new mechanics you can make all your turrets look the same and there are many other new features in the game I want to be able to watch the one KZfaqr who has inspired me to get many of the games I have play one of my favorite games again.

those naval guns are on the YAMATO from the 2 world war 460 mm guns 9 of those guns and 3 turrets that they are mounted on the turret just so you know ;D

The hive missiles are like anti pest weapons you use them to evaporate smaller targets

Naval cannons on a treaded battleship and the smaller battleship cannons on the sides. Then rockets on the deck like anti missile turrets but AA instead.

Now we need some kind of turret base for the big battleship cannon

Right now there are two battleships that i have seen using this cannon the Hailstorm MK7 and the HMS super lion on the workshop

Could you bring back cosmoteer? Weapons and propulsion have been expanded upon very nicely. Bigger missiles, more blasters, modular rail guns and fusable beams!

The Cannons can go 90 degrees in any direction Sophie have three facing forward and then they three or four blocks behind them you have another three facing the opposite direction you can at least hit an enemy with three cannons but if you want more of them from the side you would get six cannons of continuous fire or technically 18 cannons firing cuz each Naval Cannon has three Canon so 6 * 3 is 18 that means you can hit an enemy with E18 cannons or at least 9 Cannons and instead of having them three or four boxes where you can have them two blocks or I don't think the hitbox will allow you but it's worth a try

Make a ship which is designed to broadside a ship using a mix of the naval cannons and the old standard cannon.

Hey fyi if you use ALOT of the battleship cannons facing down then fire all at once then you can jump

Now you need to build a battleship. Mayb just two naval guns facing foreward and one back to stop it from getting to big. That should leave a lot of room for secondary weapons.

USE THE MISSLE TURRET ON YOUR BASE WALL IN THE CAMPAIGN it will look amazing

to conter knockback have rows of internal shotguns pointing backwards

I feel like the cannons would do better when combined on one tec so You do constant damage and a small burst of insane damage same with missles
