watching this a year and a half later; theres a lotta those in my youtube suggests for some reason. That early zealot attack on the third base w/ 3 guys holding the ramp is genius. Not only does it make the lings and the sunks fight separately, but as Protoss you can look away from that army for a longer than either other race could ever hope to accomplish. 2020 really was the year of the DA. Wonder what unit will reign in 2022?

What a good play on the Protoss player especially the last 20 mins of the game. The good spell from the Dark Archon really impressed me fighting against those Ultralisks. In the beginning of this game, I thought the Zerg player has the advantage for the Zerglings rush. Thanks for casting such a good game Paladin! Enjoy watching for the whole scenes!!

As a Zerg player myself, ZergbOy did a great starting, but he missed so many oportunities and did so little micro that he lost the game. Best wishes during this "optional" quarantine in the US, at least in Denver where people do not seem to pay any care to the c-virus by now 😷

Good to see multiple Dark Archons used at once. Being able to use 2 or 3 MS on grouped up Ultra’s at once is deadly when you have mass archon/reaver & storms.

Not sure what Zergboy was thinking. Ultralisks and Zerglings die so quickly to Reavers being blocked by Archons. Ultralisks don’t do that much damage too, and Archons have a lot of shield.

I dare say maelstrom and psi storm compliment each other in more ways than color lol. Great casting.

Okay here is a comment. My first exposure to Starcraft came in the first grade way back in 1999, when I was visiting my best friend (youngest of three), and watched him play through some sorta rpg custom map. The Zerg scared me then, and of course a few years later when I got the game myself, they were my favorite because I was a little edgelord. I later played them in SC2 back in WoL which was the only time that I ever played ladder. Because I am an f2 + attack move scrub, I do not like swarm hosts. This has been a small wall of text for Falgorithm Palgorithm and the glory of Brood War replays.

As a Protoss main against Zerg I rarely build Templars, Reavers, dts, or archons. I go arbiters and 3 forges early to stay ahead on upgrades. My zealot/goon ratio is usually 2:1 because I'm usually triple pumping arbiters. Zerg really has no good counter to Arbiter/Zealot/Dragoon. Scourge were never really a problem because the arbiters are behind my goons. Dark swarm not a problem because I'm zealot heavy. Plus when I'm 5+ arbiters on the field I can just throw down tons of stasis the whole match. I don't even have to be that precise. Also, instead of building Corsairs to hunt down overlords, Zerg is constanly bringing overlords to the battle for detection. Also, I will build a fleet beacon to get my air units +3/+3/+3. I've always thought against Zerg arbiters are to Protoss what Science vessels are to Terran. The more you have the more you win. If someone uses this build let me know how it goes.

One thing about zerg consume and why i think its fair is because the other 2 races have damaging AOE spells that are only 75mana. Storm and irradiate. While the zergs damaging AOE spell is 150mana. Plauge And the other 2 races can cast 3 damaging spells on full energy. But defiler can only cast 2. So its pretty balanced.

FP, you should definitely watch the new ASL season (if you have time ofc). Zerg players like Larva are changing meta with the Mustalisk and Scourge against Corsair. They treat the battle like ZvZ and a lot of wins from this strategy depsite Protos having Dragoon or High Templar.

More really relevant history and poignant commentary. You also mentioned that gosu match i love with the use of gas extractor to renew health on a drone. Very entertaining.
