The Tesla “truck” travesty is the equivalent of the almond milk and cows milk saga. I drove 4x4 trucks for 40 years, hauling everything under the sun, in the snow, the Tesla is not a truck, it’s almond milk.

I recently saw some photos of the coolest car design ever created, the 1938 Phantom Corsair. It hit me that folks 80 years ago got to see some of the most amazing concepts ever made, but now we get vehicles that look like they were copied from a PS1 game. Instead of the Cybertruck, couldn't we have gotten The Car Made for Homer? It's about the same price, wouldn't rust the first time it gets rained on, and looks a lot more practical.

The front edge is a danger to pedestrians, I heard (but I'm not sure if it's true) that the CyberTruck is illegal to drive on public roads in Europe due to its design. Even the hood is dangerous to the user. Not allowing buyers to sell the CyberTruck for a year is also a major red flag.

I just got a 2013 Tesla Model S P85 with only 18k miles for 24k out the door. I replaced a 2013 KIA Soul that finally died after 258k miles. I am absolutely loving it so far.

Hey! Don't knock the Aztek and definitely don't put it in the same category as the useless Cybertruck! The Aztek may look like a bulldog, but it was my favorite car to drive. I put over 250,000 miles on mine, it drove just fine in the snow, I used it to move entire apartments a couple of times (sans big furniture), and I took it car camping several times (and no, it didn't need the tent attachment; there was plenty of room in the back with the hatch closed). It had little innovations that were actually useful and fun to drive. It's easy to jump on the band wagon and trash the car based on looks alone, but most who actually drove it for any length of time loved it. I doubt you'll hear anyone say the same thing about the Cybertruck.

Yep, the Cybertruck is a blight on the highways, horrendous! A friend has a Plaid, is quick but has no soul, other EVs I've ridden in are just appliances. My weekend/fun car is a 400+hp, 2100llb., manual Transmission SBC MGB (BIG FUN!). Living in the SF bay area I have to see CyberTrucks everyday, the pain!

Well, when you said the Tesla truck was ugly, I could relate. However, when it got to the 6 Corvettes, a Viper, 2 Teslas, a history of Mercedes, etc, I just heard rich people being completely unrelatable.

$5 a gallon is cheap. In New Zealand (converting for currency and gallons/liters) One gallon is currently $7.50, and earlier this year it was nearly $9 per gallon.

I owned the Summer 1964 Mustang, for my first car.. I now own the best car I ever had. It is a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI It is faster than my old GTO Judge, and more comfortable than my old Thunderbird. My two kids, who I raised alone, gave it to me for Father's Day in 2005, after they both got their first real jobs. It was still under warantee and I have cared for it ever since. The body, engine and interior are fantastic.. But it needs front suspension work and at 66 and living on a disability income I can't afford to fix it and will soon have to get rid of it. I have owned probably 16 cars and a couple cycles, but this is the one for me or it has been anyway

There is a video on KZfaq where the compare it pulling a trailer to a conventional truck in an actual road test. The range was surprisingly low, and took about an hour and a half to recharge.

It's even worse too, because at least the Aztek had some kind of inherent wholesomeness--all the silly little accessories you could adorn it with for camping and *adventure!* It was a family car for outdoorsy people, and while it obviously is a wheeled turd it isn't entirely soulless. It was Neo-Malaise, that time in automotive design when MOAR PLAZTEK=MOAR BETTAR and everything just kinda sucked ass to experience, kinda like the Dubya years. And yet, as shit as he was, wouldn't we rather have him be the baddie? The Cybertruck is a symptom of an uglier, shittier, meaner world--a touchstone for a kind of mediocrity that tells you to go fuck yourself because you just don't "get" daddi-musk's genius, *bro.* A world where the bad guy isn't just shit, he's actually evil and wants to be buddies with dictators. Yikes.

I saw this tesla truck in person, on the road in Syracuse, NY. It made my brain hurt.

"Not for everyone" is an understatement, but it's the most pre-ordered vehicle (2 million+) in automotive history. Personally, I like it. To me, it looks kinda like an X-Wing cockpit on wheels. Also, I despise Musk, but I'm a Tesla person (Tesla does more to help save the environment than most other companies) and I'm a truck person. And since Tesla only makes one truck, I'll configure mine when I get the opportunity. But people spending this much time and energy hating other people's car choices is a little disturbing.

I have looked at these, problem in you live in the north, the batteries do not fair great in the cold. It may tell you charged for 300 miles, in January in cold climates, you will be lucky if you get 250. Watch Market place in Canada, it is one of the biggest problems for EV here unfortunately. There is a cost for installing the chargers, we would have to upgrade to 220 which is just shy of $10 g Canadian, plus car plus charger. A cost we just can't put out all at once.

People said the VV Bug was ugly but then it sold 23 million. Cybertruck will sell well.
