Using Tesla Full Self Driving (Supervised) on our Tesla Model 3, we tried to do a quick drive down the 5 south from Valencia, Ca to Granada Hills without a disengagement, it fails spectacularly and would have crashed if I let FSD do it's thing. It automatically chose the carpool lane (HOV) and then couldn't get us out again.

Honest question - love the channel! But why continuing to do FSD tests on the HIGHWAY when it is old v11 code and not neural net/AI based like the city roads. So there is basically not going to be much updates at all between releases on the highway with FSD until 12.5 when it switches highway to neural nets. What are you hoping to discover by testing highway FSD over and over when we know it mostly hasn’t changed at all yet? Hope that makes sense, thanks!

Have you tried using the turn signal to prompt FSD to get into a more appropriate lane? I consider the car pool situation a training opportunity and use the turn signal to suggest a better approach to a set of conditions. My observation, FSD does not look ahead to future navigation requirements early enough.

Was scary to watch camping left lanes not going the flow of traffic for legal reasons, but still dangerous. I have fun watching these videos though:)

About nag: just rest your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel with downward pressure until car is actually turning the wheel, then lift hand. I have found this will eliminate nag and the hands need to be somewhere anyway. FSD seems to need reassurance that it is taking the correct action. Having hands on the wheel provides this valuable feedback. Not too much to ask of the supervisor.

I know. I thought it was cool to drive hands free when I first got a car with driver assist features (2017). Now, I am more interested in training a car to drive itself error free. I hope my interventions help in the training process.

At 3:45, actually v12.4 will be much *more* diligent about requiring attention to the road. Rather than allowing you to go sometimes 2-3 minutes before getting the steering wheel nag, you'll the the "Please Pay Attention to the Road" after your gaze wanders for the road ahead for just a few seconds.

Thank you for your honest review. FSD has been in beta for almost *four* *years* and there are still problems and mistakes. When will AI and Neural Networks get the job done?

Fsd is illegal in all 50 states. Video captured and sent to DMV and CHP with a formal complaint for prosecution sent to the district attorney's office. Test your software in private, not on public roads.

Lmao. The licensed driver is the legal operator of the vehicle driver assist tech and is fully responsible for all driving and decisions:) The software is not the driver lol.

_Fsd is illegal in all 50 states._ Wow! Where'd you get *that* nutty idea? FSD is not being tested, it's being used to reduce accidents and save lives. What *is* illegal is speeding, running red lights, and other dangerous human behaviors; may we assume that you're equally diligent in reporting *those* behaviors? Yeah, I didn't think so...
