I purchased a used 2021 Model Y a few weeks ago Through Tesla, my Model Y is still until the manufacturer's warranty. I believe my alignment is off, and my breaks vibrate when I do have to use the breaks. Does anyone know if the manufacturer's warranty covers breaks and the alignment?
@TeslaTipsTrips
@TeslaTipsTrips 4 сағат бұрын
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately those items are not covered under warranty. Brakes rarely need service on these cars, so that is odd to hear.

Thanks for letting me know. Who knows how the previous owner drove it. I’ll set up a service appointment with Tesla to get everything checkout.

I have my 2020 M3 and never extended the warranty at that time. I've only had small issues here and there but never amounted to the $2K for the extended warranty. My 2020 M3 has currently 83K miles. I instead left the $2K in my savings account accumulating 4.6% APY. So, I did a hard pass on the extended warranty at that time. Not worth it.

I agree. Probably the biggest risk is the AC going out and you basically have $2100 to throw at it.

Interestingly $2100 is exactly the cost of Extended Service Agreement (Model Y) +$100 deductible 🤔

If you own a Tesla, go to the app on your phone. Scroll down to the bottom of the main page. You’ll see a Specs and Warranty button - click on it. It will give the specific month/year and the mileage of your Tesla’s warranty expiration.

I believe you need to rotate the charger holder 180 degrees to prevent it from sliding out. That little bit of sliding out each time you take the cable out for charging causing this to happen.

If you have to monitor and be so worried about needing to take over, you ought as well drive at that point. We have only been driving and not complaining for 100,000’s of miles. Being so nervous you have to be more attentive to take over is mire in your nerves than just driving

Thank you for the video. Very informative and timely for me. I also watched your PW3 installation video. I am considering a similar setup with 6 kW solar, Tesla gateway and one PW3. I do not have room for many more solar panels, but I am waffling between one or two PW3s. I am waiting for my final design before I can move forward. It is helpful to hear about your process and positive experience.

I’ve tried your tip and it worked for about 2 hours and then went right back to the issue of blinking red T. I know Tesla manual said to disconnect and reconnect and if problem persists, to move the vehicle to a cooler climate. The vehicle is in my garage so I’m not sure how much cooler I can get. I’ve tried having a fan blowing on the adapter and the charge port of the vehicle at the same time and still has the issue. Any other tips I might try? I did put in a service request from Tesla so hopefully I’ll just get sent a new one since it is under warranty

My Jowua roof shade came in and installed easily enough, but my enthusiasm was dampened the first time I touched it getting into the car or driving and hitting a bump on the road. The little ledge on the clip is far too shallow to adequately support the shade and the spring tension provided by the shade itself is simply not enough to keep the shade seated against them. It falls on my head constantly while driving. Does anyone have a fix for this?

That’s really wild to see Mojave chargers. Maybe it was 2 years or so ago took the model 3 (just traded it in and got a MYP last week!) and I remember there were only those 6 stalls or so at the end of the shopping strip. That Thai restaurant next to the chargers is pretty good if you find yourself back at that area again!

I'm getting ready to have two PW3s installed with my existing two solar systems. One is Enphase IQ7 micros and the other has a SolarEdge inverter. They are going to remove all that and tie the panels to the built in inverters in the PWs. Also using the Tesla backup switch instead of the gateway. A novel installation for sure but will solve a few problems I've had with having two separate systems.

Same issue here in the Netherlands. 2024 Tesla Model Y LR AWD from Berlin with HW3. I think i have tried almost everything that is mentioned here by Kerry and other users. Thank you, for this! The adapter creeps out over time thanks to a flawed design that fails to lock the adapter into the connector. When it creeps out, the area of contact between the connectors decreases and so the resistance between them increases, and with it the temperature. You can use a couple of zip ties around the length of the connector to secure the adapter. Wrap one tie around the connector from one side of the cable at one end to the other side of the cable at the other end. Fit the other tie in the opposing position. If you haven't got zip ties long enough, you can link multiple short ones together, tail to head.
