So many women are told that the docotr doesnt beleive in hormone testing ebcause well the level this and that and we just dont do it. There are so many reasons to have your levels tested and I will discuss them in this episode and also show you how to talk to a physician that is gaslighting you

Would you talk about us older women and your view on hormones, estrogen in particular..I’ve been off of HRT because of BC for 20 years. Will they work for us?? Such as a good nights sleep…more energy…better skin, etc! No one talks about women in their 70s or 80s. We need advice on this also because we still have more of a life to live and we want it to be good. Thank you!

Thank you, Dr. Tassone, for being such a proliferous advocate for women's rights - we are so vulnerable in (peri-)menopause. 🙏

Read your book this week. I am 63 and I seem to be a cross between The Nun and The Philosopher. Very helpful information! Your office ordered my labs and I am getting them done tomorrow. I look forward to my appointment with you!

Thank you for what you do Dr. Tassone. And you are so right about endocrinologists….all of my thyroid results are out of range because my endo, halved my dose & then insisted I wait 6 weeks (instead of 3 or 4) to retest. Now I’m exhausted all the time, and can barely function. I’m looking forward to my next appointment with you on Monday June 17. You wanted me to go on a higher Armour dose, but I thought I’d give the endo a chance. Well, that was a mistake! I think you know what you’re doing, much better!

Thank you for all your videos 🙏. I live in the Uk and I’m 65 years old. I’m about to go to my doctor to tell him I would like to try HRT. Would you advise blood tests even though I have many menopause symptoms?

I live in the UK too and did have the chip and they tested the hormones then. Now they won’t give the chip now. and I have the patch with no testing. And I had to argue to get that.

Yes, I did (I’m over 60) because even though my symptoms are my guide, I know that getting my numbers close to 60 (minimum) is better for my bones (I’ve already lost several inches of height & muscle in my thighs). I’m currently at less than 14 (!) I’m using the patch for the estradiol, a progesterone pill at bedtime & to help me with increasing my muscles, I’m using compounded testosterone cream that I apply daily. However, I have hypothyroidism so I’m still trying to get my thyroid levels in a good range. First I switched from synthetic to Armour & was given too high a dose, now I’m severely under dosed & exhausted all the time… it’s like Dr Tassone said, endocrinologists are the worst! The endocrinologist wanted me to wait 6 weeks to retest, while I felt worse & worse, I shouldn’t have listened, I should have retested my thyroid levels in 3 or 4 weeks maximum.

What about post menopause, do they fluctuate so much that the blood test will be inaccurate?

I have been on 200mg of oral progesterone and 100mg estradiol gel every day for 3.5 months. I am sleeping finally and feeling better overall, i just dont understand why there has not been a single blood test or saliva test ordered. I am 54 (menopausal for 2 yrs now) and for 12 years, I all but begged for my hormones to be tested and they would nod but obviously not order them, ehen the labs came back. Now, i am grateful to be on HRT but confused why my testosterone would not even be considered.

I asked another gynecologist about taking progesterone post hysterectomy to help with sleep and she said estrogen (if you're on the correct dose) is what helps you sleep and that women should not be taking progesterone post hysterectomy because it's the "baby's hormone, while estrogen is the "mama's" hormone. So confused. 🤔

If ovaries do not work anymore because you are premenopausal and still getting anticonceptional continuous pills plus HRT estradiol gel dhea plus pregnenolone, has logical sense to test blood ? …aren’t the results fake because my body doesn’t produce almost zero hormones by itself ? So teraphy and symptoms guide my endocrinologist assessment ? Just questioning myself sir thanks for sharing
