The original Ventus Blue was so good. I used to play the 6x Velocore. Save $ and get the 2018 version imo.

I have one and put a srixon zx5 mk2 head on it and lost 35 yards over the stock hazardous shaft. Don’t know why but I played 3 rounds and put the stock shaft back into my driver. Now I hit it straight every time tho but I would rather play from 285 than 250 (or less)

The color was tweaked to meet requests by Callaway to match their new AI weight screws and headcover trim. The first batch was reserved for Callaway. They are just now leaking out to other mfgs.

Talked to few fitters at 2nd swing Scottsdale and they seem split, half like Ventus & other half prefer the Graphite Designs, what say you two? +10 yards + 1-2 more fairways = sold

That's the thing personal preference comes into it, we haven't yet done too much with Graphite Design, but watch this space.

The blue x was way to soft throughout the profile. The blue tr is nice for me. If i play it at 46 total length will it be to soft compared to playing it at 45 total length? Would some tipping be required at 46 inches or maybe consider going to the black?

Playing it at a longer length isn't going to change the profile Michael, but by going longer you should pick up some speed which might mean you want to look at the Black. A good fitter will help you work through this to understand the gains and drawbacks of either choice. Hope that helps.

Did you have total distances for these tests not just carry ?

We would have created them while testing Ryan but we don't tend to record them. Common thinking in the industry is once the balls hit the ground it's out of your control, so it typical just to record the numbers you have control over.

Only change the head but the manufacture will require you to buy their crappy stock shaft so you can get the head.

At my local PGA store I can buy head only and mate to a shaft in many mfg

There's a couple of ways getting over this. Buy the driver through a brand who offer the shaft you want as an uncharge. Alternatively try and find an independent fitter who has a component account so they can order just the desired head and shaft for you. Hope that helps.

@@JjJj-yw1eu They are starting to provide a very finite set of shafts you can choose from. The new Fujikura blue shaft is not one of them.
