Hey man, love your content! Could you make a video about Zahir Khudayarov? He definitely deserves some recognition because he's going for a 1200kg+ total and he's really close with 475kg double on squat, 275kg double on bench and 415kg single on deadlift . What's even more impressive is the fact that he competes in a 125kg weightclass.

Because training principles have significantly improved and the sheer numbers of people getting into powerlifting is increasing tremendously. It's not that hard to understand if you use those 2 braincells

Talent pool is way bigger, lifting as a child/teenager is no longer stigmatized for “stunting growth”. And good training methods are more solidified and easier to find. People can also be coached mostly online which is a huge help

All the talent and training advancements in the world won't change the amount of time the body needs to adapt. However, out of anyone our youngest men are the most naturally juiced. In a way, the juniors and sub-junior records should be expected the see the most change simply because the optimization of their time probably works really well with their high endogenous testosterone levels.

idk if this will make you feel better but afaik he's only been training for a few years. I know some of the national champions in Ireland and they've been lifting longer and can't touch his numbers. don't worry about being the best. just get strong and have fun 🫡

sumo and conventional depend on body type, although from what i've seen there must be a reason the lighter weight classes mostly pull sumo and heavier weight classes pull conventional
