Steps:
1. When hand sanding, it’s important to apply steady and even pressure to the surface to ensure its sanded evenly. This is why using a hand sander results in a higher quality job.
2. For surfaces with odd profiles, like crown molding, a traditional hand sander won’t work. They make a hand sanding kit with interchangeable profiles that can work for a variety of unusual surfaces, including around stair balusters, in tight corners, molding, etc.

Wow! This would be super handy for a full home trim project I am working on but the supplied link doesn't take you to this particular product. Could I ask you to let us know where Nathan or the producers got this particular one? I love the fact that the grip comes with it and it looks sturdy enough to allow even pressure and lots of use.

@@photoguyjames4522 Unfortunately that is only a 10pc set and the one they are showing is 20. I figure with the 20 pc set, your chances are better at having the contour you need. The producers should have made sure there was product availability before they put this out there.

Sanding sponges or for something that just needs dulling for adhesion, liquid sanding.

Isn’t this finished mounding that doesn’t need to be sanded to the extent where you need a $50 kit...

What about molding that is not finished? And what about molding you made yourself?

Of course it is. They used it because it has multiple contours and made for an easy demonstration.

Id more so say for painters or repairmen. If you need to repair some big gouges and nail holes with putty first and zip along this before painting again. They aren’t saying it’s meant for molding they used that as an example that it could be used in any kind of pattern. I for one would never use this enough to ever stomach buying it but woodworkers it would be perfect for. To go along routered edges and arounds designs made with a lathe like legs to tables and stuff. That stuff is hard to sand properly.

23 years never used one and it takes too much time to cut the paper hook the paper....sanding sponge

Iωαννης X lol same here sanding sponges all the way. Works on 85-90% of the time.
