Decided it was time to put these wheels to the test. We had heard a lot of good feedback from them but I didn't feel like people were ready to go and really beat up their $2000 wheel and tire package hard enough to see what tire pressure you can run the wheels at. I gave it my best shot. See the next video to find some results.

Right on man! Good VID....I just bought the 704s for my 2022 Power Wagon...I think as heavy as that is I wouldn't go lower than 15 psi.....I have been looking for someone with the same combo to ask them what they've been doing....I appreciate your testing! I'll be out in the desert looking for ghost towns and 4x4ing....

Rad man! I think you'll be super happy with them. The only people that complain are some tire shops that have trouble getting the bead off (only a few shops complain though)

You should put a regular rim on one side and run them both and see if it'll pop doing the same thing

Thanks for including the different psi you ran. I just got a ZR2 and I've been running them around 20-15 psi. Same area you were at. I'm a bike guy so I'm sorta clueless on the truck.

Paul G half highway pressure to when you hit the dirt, and half again if you want to party.

Very few beads have been broken on these tires. Happy to report that from incoming calls here at Method.

Great video. Looking at time point 3:41 in your video, high speed turn, slow motion, was that the bead trying to come off the bottom of the wheel?

I was trying to make that happen. But the tires never burped any air so the beadgrip held everything in place.

It's a factory ford set up. They did this on the Ford Ranger, Bronco, F150, F250, and Bronco II's. Works extremely well for go fast offroad and when done right they are great for 4x4 trails as well.

Hah!...you're back!..:) Nice looking wheels, but for me 5 psi with no beadlock seems pretty low...Liked the footage of your truck running down the road, the truck looked good!

Titantramp4u One thing to consider is that the 701s utilizes ridges where the bead of the tire sits on the wheel. This helps bite in to the bead to reduce the chance of them popping off.

@@mitchhodge592 Exactly. It is low though and could easily ruin/break other parts. I'm just taking it that low to try and get the tire to actually come off of the bead.

I normally do 9psi in the rear and 10psi in the front, on 16x10 GT wheels, its been 3 years now, had only 4 pop outs. Now I’ve been eyeing the method bead grip wheels, is it as good as it sounds?

No sorry but at this point we're only offer the trail series line in a 16 and 17" wheel option but no 5x4.5". My Ranger is running 5x5.5" bolt pattern.

I run 35s currently. I may step it up to 37s if the new motor allows for it. But 35s are plenty big enough.

i drive at 15/14 psi in the desert, do a lot of dune bashing, sliding on the dunes and drifting on the sand. The problem i always face is that the tyre always pops out when when i drift a little to much. so i was wondering if the bead grip would help in keeping the tyre intact during some hardcore torture. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f6-jmKV0yZvch4E.html here is a video of me dune bashing so you can have an idea what im talking about.

They are and I did. There are a lot of other factors to think about but for the most part you should be able to lower the tire pressures down to as low as you need too.

Going to go back to the Beadlocks but only because I prefer to run a 15" wheel with a 35" tire when possible. I'll be doing another video with a little more rock crawling though with these wheels to try and get a better test on them. Probably go run John Bull again.

Agreed. Harder the sidewall the harder they will be to get off. Or the tolerance of the beadpack. The more true to size of that then it'll be harder to get off the Wheel

Agreed. I have the MR Roost right now and MR makes much nicer designs than the 701 face.

Unless you just think these are plain ugly (maybe a Roost fan, personally I think these look better), or really want to deal with beadlock wheels, then these seem like a no brainer for anyone who wheels at low pressure. What can compare?
