the cake mousse is my fav, i love how fluffy the end result looks. i was surprised it didn't give you any cast, it usually leave me with a very strong cast!

It’s so weird cuz when I use it on wash days, it leaves a cast, but on refreshes it doesn’t?!?! 🤣 idk, but I love it!

i’ve used all three of these products too! i love seeing other people try it too! by day 3 or 4 i don’t bother refreshing i just style it differently- clips or buns. it’s great seeing what you do though! the leave-in spray by briogeo is great as well! i agree a spray gets way more even coverage

Omg I totally agree, on most of my 4th days, I opt for hairstyles. But I wanted to show that if you wanna extend your wash days and revive your waves/curls, it is absolutely possible😊 And thanks for the Briogeo rec! I gotta give it a try❤️

I think I’m gonna give mousse another try lmao Kinda unrelated but your last refresh reminded me: how can you tell the difference between build up frizz & dryness frizz?? Hii Nemesis 🇵🇷! Love ur videos … personally my hair has no curls orrr defined waves hahaha 🤣 im trying to get some weird waves. Loved ur results with mousse! My hair stays wet forever things I have used is the not ur mothers gel and cream and Deva Curl leave in decadence but it was a mess hahaha my hair is very dry! Trying out that mousse to see

Hi love! Hmm…it sounds like you might be weighing your waves down with too much product, why don’t you try using the NYM curl cream (small amount), brush style it, and then coat a bit of gel on top. Also don’t forget to deep condition in the shower at least once a week to help with the dryness

Also! I have similar curls/waves to yours but I struggle with the underneath pieces they are super curly like 3a-3b curls. And they are really short. What do you recommend me to do. I kinda been clumping them with my other curls and that helps but they’re really dry still and always get tangled 😭

Hi babes! The brush I use is from the brand “Goody”, but I bought it years ago, I think I’ve only seen it recently in Amazon. And I’m regards to your underneath pieces, you might need to section them and style them differently than the rest of your hair. These pieces might need a bit extra cream than the rest of your hair to keep them moisturized, and don’t forget to seal them with oil at the end of your styling routine. ❤️

Tysm babes! And lol I haven’t given up on the bangs, I use them to the front mostly right after wash days cuz I take the time to style them, but for refreshes, I just push them to the sides lol🤣 And I used the same oil on every refresh: the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil ❤️❤️

Hi babes! Omg “guru” 😂😂 Im honored 🥹❤️ And yes! I do diffuse when I refresh cuz I’m too impatient to wait for my hair to air dry haha, and I do it pretty similarly to how I do it on wash days☺️ and it usually takes even less time to dry than wash days since my hair is less wet👌🏽

Hi babes! So, diffusing is NOT necessary to achieve good results. BUUUUUT, does it make better?? Hell yes. Lol. Diffusing not only cuts the drying time, but it also adds volume and juicier looking clumps. There’s nothing wrong with air-drying, but I always recommend the wavies that watch me to eventually get themselves a good hairdryer/diffuser because in the long run, it’ll make their wash days easier.

By the way what porosity would you say your hair is? When you refresh with water (spritz water on your hair) it looks like mine. Water just beads up on the strands , I get confused what that means in terms of porosity :/ Edit: lmaooo just watched the part you mentioned low porosity 😂😂😂 nevermind!!

Yes! Just put a bit of leave-in conditioner first (focus it on your ends), and then use the Cake Mousse to add hold.

I always get such good results on wash day but when I sleep no matter what I do, my hair gets all wonky or falls straight😩 then I basically refresh every day unless I just brush it out

Does the mouse help reduce frizz ? I don’t even care about definition or volume at this point I just do not want frizz 😫

It does help with frizz, but make sure your hair is properly moisturized, because frizz is always a sign that your hair is trying to seek the moisture is lacking from the air.
