We install the F-12 by sno power. Then test it in an icy abandoned lot. Covered in densely packed snow- lets see what it can do.

Engine temp still at a steady 195 though...

I have a boss I installed myself. Wiring was easy, and the was no frame drilling, but I don’t like the low ground clearance when not plowing. I will never hit my rear differential with it installed, but the fisher plates I removed gave way more clearance. I like the plow featured. Except it doesn’t seem to stack snow. I have only had one storm i used the v as a v to break through shush piles that turned to ice while pushing. My transmission runs 150, it doesn’t overheat even with the plow, but my water temp will get high at idle. I click to manual and drop it down a gear and it comes right back down. That’s a new issue with an orielly water pump and thermostat. 08 2500hd
@Dirtmonkey

I had to do the same thing with my Hiniker. It habitually overheated my transmission while driving so I shifted down a gear and ran the plow super low. This snopower doesn’t give me those problems

Neat plow works good. Talked about no plow lights needed reminded me of my parents neighbor the truck he had. It was a 70s f250 can't remember what plow he had but the truck sat so high he didn't need plow lights. I am thinking it was a highboy but not 100% sure about that. Of course back then the trucks seem to sit higher then today's trucks do. My dad had a 75 f100 and that sat higher then my 01 Silverado does.

Hey I’ve watched several other videos on this plow. Also installed plenty of plow wiring back in the day. In my opinion plows should be on separate and own wiring. But now they have plow prep wiring on new trucks. It helps lockup these new 8-10 speed trans from shifting into a gear not good for plowing . I see those guys didn’t use a lift . Pretty much on the ground level with cardboard like the hard working homeowner mechanic.

212 -190 is hot on the trans temp, coolant okay I can see that. I upgraded my trans cooler in my 2013 Silverado 1500 and I added a second one to my 2016 3500HD Sierra. On my 3500HD with a Boss 8.2’ XTV I saw 190 degrees trans temp prior to the upgrade after driving it 17 miles on back roads from the dealership to home. Now the truck sees 125-145 degrees on the trans temp with my 7.5’ Boss straight blade. Regular cruising around town the truck rarely gets over 130 degrees. GM transmissions s cool at 190-210 degrees.

I don't know Stan i know they probably give you a kick back to run this thing but I'm seeing a lot of spillover. they should take a look at the major retailers wing designs so the snow rolls better instead of spilling over the top and out the sides

It seems like the wings are having issues staying in the position u put it at

They just need to be adjusted to hold better.

that plow rides way to low so stupid not just putting lights on it I can see it now people will smash and bend them all up on curbing and you certainly can't stack anything with that the new fishers are crazy high light and have the highest plow frame hook up on market I believe boss is the lowest or blizzard does and they hit curbs with those and just way to over complicated to many things can go wrong people use to plow with manual blades lol I learned on one

My plan is to keep testing this and see if any of those concerns come true.

@@Dirtmonkey that's fine and all but no major companies or cities will buy it way to over engineered with possibilities of things going wrong with it and that back plow died out in 90s for a reason this guy is clearly still stuck back in the 80s there's way better ways and those back drags just make a mess they don't scrape and everyone noticed that and there tire life dropped tremendously from always spinning driving on snow instead of having traction on bare blacktop just my 2 cents I rather see you do vids with the actual brands that companies will rely on I get it you like to support small companies and I do aswell ill spend extra for local but its gotta be atleast compariable but if the product ain't there then there's no point to

A little off topic ? For Stanley but what winter boot is he wearing? A little side note proud to say that the plow he’s using is manufactured 40 mins from where I live on Michigan.

Glad to see one of these things on your truck. Has he been teasing you for two years now about the release of this unit? What a cool concept. And a thought MF plow. Seen the speed bump video. Good nearly rattled off the truck, but the plow was fine.

Stan , I’d change the trans fluid in your truck if you e gotten the temp up past 210 .. that’s burning fluid territory, and I guarantee the viscosity of your trans fluid is compromised

You have probably answered this question(but I don't remember your answer if you did :D), are you not running a back dragger this season to prove you don't "Need" one, or do you do enough towing its not worth putting one in your truck for the season? I know in season past you have ran them, just wondered why this season you elected to not install one.

I’m trying to see if this front pusher will eliminate the need for a back dragger.
