You’re very sweet for wanting to help! I’ve reached out to a few brands I really like, and unfortunately have been told that their current focus is on Instagram and TikTok creators, which is infuriating as a KZfaqr! I cannot understand why we are so undervalued, as our communities are the most invested! It makes no sense to me. That said, I’m ok with buying the things I truly want. I can’t imagine coming home from a trip to 20+ boxes waiting. That would give me so much anxiety!

@minaxiu I’ve said the same thing for years! I don’t understand it at all! I feel like brands send out so much PR to everyone and a lot just never use it or test it out even though they say they will. I’ve been subscribed to Risa for at least 5 years and Risa gives us honest reviews and doesn’t use all these beauty filters. Risa is so amazing at teaching new makeup skills, how to get a better look and she’s always puts so much thought and effort into her videos. BRANDS NEED TO WAKE UP!

@@RisaDoesMakeupI would think your subscribers’ demographics would spend more $ for makeup than those who mainly watch Tick Tock or instagram and therefore the department store brands would increase sales by sending you product to try. Of course, you are great to show dupes and good stuff from drug stores. Whatever, love your techniques and feminine results and sense of humor and goodness.

Me, too! I laughed out loud. Her laugh afterwards was so cute and I thought about her interview with Lorry Hill and how she had said she was self-conscious about her smile. I think she has a really pretty smile. We probably all want what we don't have. My lips kind of just go out to the side when I smile. I've always wanted upturned lips 😂🩷.

I saw your interview on Lorie's channel and appreciate you sharing what you go through with trolls, and hope the positive energy you get from those of us that admire and appreciate what you do goes some way to bolstering your own. Its hard not to be hurt by needless cruelty, but hurt people, hurt people and I think a lot of it is outward directed self loathing. It's sad, and doesn't make it hurt any less, but I'm glad you are as resilient as you are ❤.

I’m approaching 73 very fast and I am still very interested in looking my best. Thank you for all your instructions, advice, reviews and suggestions. At my age I am sure you can understand that my skin has different pigmentations in different areas almost overnight. As a fellow oily AF mature woman, I have to watch all of your reviews because there aren't many of us! I just did my second sephora order and actually ordered several foundations to try including the UD. I hope I find a good one because I am still hunting for a perfect one. I actually really like La Mer except it does not last all day on me. I bought Nars soft matte on Nikki LaRose rec but Nars is too orange for me and almost too matte. Would love to find a good tinted moisturizer or BB cream but almost all are too shiny on me.

I did a side by side comparing the new Mac Studio fluid with the UD face bond, after setting both the face bond still emphasized all my texture,pores, and dry patches I had. The Mac looked way more flawless and easier to work with

Hi Risa. Just wanted to say that I tried the foundation in the palm trick and I was blown away at how smooth my foundation turned out. I have been struggling with cakiness around my nose and upper lip. No matter how I tried it just wasn't turning out the way I wanted. Today my foundation was flawless!! Thank you so much. You are beautiful by the way. I am 48 and I would give anything to look like you. Keep doing what you are doing because it's working. 💜

Thank you for speaking about the shade description issues! I've noticed that also! I like neutral shades because I have rosiness and warm undertones. I do not like to hide all the rosiness. The neutral shades I've recently gotten are way too yellow. Now I'm wondering if I have to choose shades that are labeled as cool. However, warm shades in eye shadows and blush do look better than cool on me. But BB creams and tinted moisturizers in neutral are too yellow. Ugh! Great video today!

I know this might sound crazy but the Avon Magix face perfector primer (or whatever they are calling it now) is the one I always go back to. I highly recommend it, especially for oily or combo skin.

That’s what kept me from buying the urban decay foundation. They didn’t have a light medium neutral. Lots of goldens and warms, and the cool certainly looked yellow online.

I love halo eye looks. Would love to see these more in the future. 🩷 Of course all of your eye looks are beautiful and i will watch you regardless, but it seems like not that many people talk about halo eyes and I really feel like they suit my eye shape. Fairly hooded lids, narrower eyes. The light color in the center really opens my eyes up. Might be a fun idea for a master class for you to discuss eye shapes and how the same eyeshadow technique will look different on different shapes.

I just bought that eye palette and am excited to try it. I love the colors in it. I have a cool palette from Color Pop and didn't need cool shades but the blend of colors in the warm shades looks gorgeous.

I love Mercier. Could you do a review on their eye palette called “Japanese in Bloom” or something like that. I think it’s around an 8 pan palette that looks lovely for Spring and Summer!

I love the texture and coverage of the UD foundation but had a hard time getting a good match, wound up getting a light medium olive and medium neutral and mixing, It's very nice thought, i love how it looks. The too faced paletted looks great on you, i have it too and like it but found the shimmers hard to work with.

Me, neither! I agree with Risa it seems like so many makeup brands are listing their foundation shades in almost the reverse of what you'd expect, and making them yellower than it seems like they should be. It makes me feel even more daunted to order online but unfortunately my closest Sephora is quite far. Thank goodness I have an Ulta close by but as we all know they don't have ALL brands in common.

I have shade 14 in the UD face bond foundation and it’s a great match for me but I have to use a ton to get medium coverage, so with this one more is more! Also I still get shiny so it doesn’t control oil even though I always powder any foundation I wear

Risa, just when I thought I was done shopping 🛍️ for makeup you come in with some great products! Haha! I really had zero interest in the new Too Faced warm and cool toned eyeshadow palettes but after seeing how it performed I really love the shades and the look you did! I’ve watched some reviews on the new Urban Decay foundation (I purchased it) but your the first review I’ve watched where you do add powder even though it “says it’s self setting” I also got the new Orgasm Edge blush and I really really love it! I’m still a huge fan of the original and I haven’t purchased one in years so I picked up the original orgasm as well. I needed to mine was so expired…. I had mine taped together because the lid broke so it was time lol! I’m very impressed by the new Laura Mercier pressed powder! I’m going to go ahead and purchase one and the Too Faced eyeshadow palette! Everything looks really beautiful on you Risa! ❤❤

I thought the wayward eyebrow hairs only happened to me, and I have barely there brows naturally. I have to get rid of the hairs or I look kind of crazy. Thanks Risa, you're beautiful as usual.

I know I said in your last video I looked forward to a review on the UD foundation. I obviously am not very patient even though I only had a couple of days to wait because I bought it when in Sephora at Kohl's on Friday. I'm such a foundation addict I couldn't resist! I have normal skin with dry spots on one cheek. The foundation was a little light but I still looked nice at 10 pm (9 hours after application). The only negative, besides shade, was that it clung to those dry spots. 😔 I'll exchange for a darker shade and keep using it. What I'm excited to receive is the newly reformulated MAC Studio Fix foundation that you reviewed and loved. Cheryl (Makeup by Cheryl) loved it too. I have the Armani Glass coming in order #4 (I placed 6 total 🫣). Everything looks really pretty on you, Risa!

Hmmm! I'm interested in how the UD would work in my close-to-hades south TX summer! I'll check in with Stephanie Marie and see what she thinks about it for NOLA. 🤔 I agree - shimmery blushes look good as a pop, but not for color. I agree, the MAC Studio Fix looked so much better. It didn't blur pores and looks like it oxidized? I have a sample of the LM powder and I like it! Also have the new Laura Mercier hydrating primer and I'm hoping they didn't change the formula... I like that it has no silicone and I can wear it with water based formulas. Your eyes look so pretty! I picked up the YSL Babylon Roses palette in the sale and so glad I did! I think you may have influenced me on that one? 🥰
