The reason the Corrale is so expensive is mainly because of the technology behind it, plates that gather the hair whilst you straighten, intelligent heat control so you're less likely to damage your hair, etc. I own a few Dyson products, the Supersonic and now the Corrale, and honestly had I not tried the products, I would also think they're not worth the price. But having used both, I would buy both of them again in a heartbeat if they broke. My hair was straightened on 210⁰C and it was sooo sleek and smooth (I have type 4 hair in case anyone is curious). If Whitney had used the highest heat, it would've given her a more sleek look but it seems she's happy with her results anyway. I do agree that it's expensive, but if you want to invest in the health of your hair and you have the means, the Corrale would be a really good shout.

Thank you for your testimonial Vaneshcaa! It’s honestly an amazing tool, I wouldn’t have done the sponsorship if I didn’t think so - just like how they sent me the blow dryer and I wasn’t impressed and passed. It did an awesome job at straightening my hair how “I” like straighten it! 💯💯 If you’re someone who straightens your hair religiously it’s an awesome choice bc you’re going to get sleek results with less heat and less damage! ❤️❤️❤️

@@Naptural85 I know! I even commented the same below in response to someone who alluded to you giving a favourable review due to the sponsorship. I remember you sending the Supersonic back to Dyson because you didn't like it. You have integrity so I'm sure if you didn't like it, you wouldn't have posted this video at all. You're not forcing anyone to buy it, and as long as you like *your* results that's all that counts 😊

Now I'm not very good with converting Celsius to Fahrenheit, but doesn't 210°C = out to about 410°F? I would most certainly hope that the end results would be sleek when using the highest temperature that the iron can go to.

Yeah, no. I guess she has to say it's good even because she's paid to say it is. I skipped to the end of the video waiting for her to flat iron her hair, and realized it WAS flat ironed. I thought that was a blow out. Or maybe a wet to dry flat iron then you flat iron it for real. 0/10 would never purchase this. Shame on Dyson for doing this.

I think that the reason the comments are so critical is because when someone grabs an flat iron it’s usually to make their hair bone straight not blow out straight (or is that just me.. I rarely do it so when I do, I want certain results). So some of your viewers won’t find the look up to their standards because that isn’t the look that they’re going for when straightening their hair. Not for hate. I think your hair looks beautiful as always. I love your content, I just think that when reviewing a product, it’s best to go with the most desired look for that product.

I think you said it best I think the dyson can deliver bone straight results I just think it’s at the 410 degree level she is natural she doesn’t straighten her hair that often so that is straight for her and plus she wouldn’t have a developed technique if she doesn’t straighten her hair often so the Dyson is probably outstanding even bad flat irons can do a good job if you know what your doing they just won’t protect your hair like the dyson I have yet to see any natural hair KZfaqr straighten their hair to my standard of bone straight but that makes sense because they don’t do it often so I wouldn’t expect that to change just because their using the dyson that’s my unsolicited unasked for thoughts. @@vaneshcaa I'm well aware of that. I've been watching her videos religiously since 2011. Even on other naturals with similar texture who have reviewed this product (Glam Twins, Amber Ansah, NaturalNeiicey) I wasn't impressed with the results. Whitney could truly love the results for her and others can truly think it's an overrated product for the price. Personally, think the Dyson flat iron is really great, but I think folks like me who normally flat iron their hair will definitely do more prep for a finished look. In my opinion (to get the results I normally expect) Whitney’s hair definitely needed another hit from the blow dryer with probably higher heat and she needed to use a rat tail comb to get sleek results, which I’ve seen with other naturals. However, she did start out by saying she has only straightened her hair 3 times in her ENTIRE LIFE, so I don’t know what ya’ll expected 🤷🏾‍♀️...expensive tools don’t impart technique (no shade, Whit.)

The darts are flying already 😂. She literally says she doesn't have a lot of experience flat ironing her hair. Yes I too anticipated a silk pressed look but how could that have been achieved at 365 degrees? Could it have been helpful to hear her desired look beforehand? YES! Even though it wasn't bone straight you can see that it kept the shine in her strands and her hair overall looked healthy after using the flat iron. Still a helpful review folks.

I feel you. I guess the thing is it’s a sponsored video so it’s like she’s trying to sell us something. Idk if someone who never straightens their hair and is going for a more blowed out look is the best person to sell a super expensive product. Idk if most would go through all of this and pay this much to get results they can get with stretching and a blow dryer. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I know you wanted to protect your hair but if your trying to market this to people willing to buy it. You should have used the 400 or highest setting to see it can give that silk press. I think naturals who want to straighten their hair are looking for silk press not something that looks like a really good blow out. But hey its Dyson I am pretty sure this is like $400 a paul Mitchell flat iron for $90 straightens my hair really nicely.

Nope. I bought this straightener about two months ago with my own coin and sent it back! It was not just terrible but “turible” for my 4b hair. The plates scrapped my hair and I felt like it was pulling my hair out. So I let my kid (who’s mixed and has straighter hair) use it and it didn’t even get HER hair straight. It looked like she’d just used a blow dryer. :( I love you Whitney and glad you are getting your coin with the sponsorship. But really? We both know that this is NOT the business. Hi Whitney😊. I have had my Dyson Corrale a little over a year. I use it once a month or so during the cooler months. My texture is similar to your curls, but I have fine strands. I only use 365, and I have no breakage or heat damage. I colored my hair last year, and my straightening routine results are close to the ones you achieved. I used the Babybliss prior to getting the Dyson, and it did make my hair flatter, but now I use it primarily to curl my hair. I am pleased with the results I get and the cost didn’t bother me since I used Affirm to pay for it. I also got the dryer - it’s an investment in my HHGJ regimen and I have no regrets in these Dyson purchases. Thank you for putting out informative and excellent content. This newly retired teacher is grateful for you being my KZfaq exemplary teacher for a long time 😊

I don't think she needed a higher heat. She just needed to chase a comb or soft brush with the flat iron so the ends would've been straight like the middle. This result was due to a bit of laziness on her part. If you're going to give a flat ironing demonstration, you need to do it correctly and have decent results for people to take you seriously. Now people who don't know her well are questioning her integrity.🤦🏾‍♀️ It doesn't look bad, but if we're being 100% it looks like an "ok" blowout.

@@krystalbrock9438 I agree the comments would def be less negative if it was bone straight, but she said herself in the video that you could use the comb chaser method, but she didn't feel like she needed it. She did tho🤦🏾‍♀️, and the results showed it. She didn't even protect the integrity of her hair because she was ironing unstretched ends with more than one pass. That's why there's a crunching sound at the end of each piece she does. It's like ironing a folded shirt, it won't get straight because it's not stretched out and it's rough on your ends when you do what she did. She also would've probably only needed one pass if she'd done it correctly. But she did say she wasn't an expert, so maybe it was just ignorance and not laziness🤷🏾‍♀️.

Krystal Brock but her hair is healthy, thick, and not heat trained. A higher heat and the comb chase method would not have damaged her hair. Just watch Deeper than Hair. She does it all the time with just ONE PASS and her clients hair is still healthy and not fried, while being bone straight. Let’s just be honest here: this product wasn’t the right choice for Whitney to promote since she’s not comfortable using heat on her hair. Would you spend $500 (especially if you found out those were the results you could have gotten with a waaaay cheaper blow dryer) on a flat iron?

I know some like a fluffy straight look but you can get that with a simple blowout. As for a good flat iron.. that aint it. You're hair looks like you're in a humid tundra but you just straightened it. And for $500 I could go to a salon and pay for 5/6 silk presses with a deep condition and trim. So that a solid no. The Corrale isn't meant for black textured hair. But I FULLY recommend other Dyson products like the handheld stick vacuums and their AMAZING heater/fan/air purifiers. THE BEST EVER and worth every penny. Am also looking into their hair dyer but I don't don't blow dry enough to warrant the expense.

I love Whitney. I was surprised when I heard she was going to flat iron her hair, as I got the impression she avoids anything that could damage her hair. I’ve read many comments. Whitney likely didn’t want bone straight results. So the corrale satisfied her needs. And here lies the problem. I think the term “flat ironing the hair” has become synonymous with bone straight hair. And this video hasn’t demonstrated that the corrale is capable of producing bone straight results on Black hair (4a to 4c), which is what the vast majority of people were looking for. Perhaps a KZfaqr who typically strives for bone straight hair would be a better person to review the corrale. And yes, I’ve seen similar and even straighter results with a blow out, on Deeper Than Hair’s channel too.

I can appreciate that you are trying to be fair to her but we all can see the results were frankly awful even if you didn't want straight straight hair. A cheaper iron on an equally low heat setting would have achieved better results and I think we all know that. The dishonesty in pretending is really not right.

@@lesliethomas3990 I don’t think she’s being dishonest. She isn’t really the type of person to use a cheap product. It can produce the same results as far as looks but that doesn’t mean it’s healthy. She just said that she enjoys it. That would be true for her. She didn’t say y’all should go out and buy it. Why would she go get a cheaper product when she doesn’t need to?

For some reason my gut is telling me that the new product is some sort of a clarifier that cleanses your hair and “refreshes” you back to your natural hair texture after all forms of styling (Heat application included) The past two videos have been heat applications 👀
