Awesome videos I’ve recently brought the same model psx look forward too getting stuck into my own got it for a hell of a deal though it’ll need work watching your videos this past few days has given me a good idea on what too look out for an things too do awesome series look forward too future updates on your psx

Nice dude! The issue I was having with my Matrix infinity clone install on a desr 7700 was exactly the same. No boot from the PSX menu. Having a properly configured FMCB MC allowed it to boot region free Ps2 games as well as backups. Unfortunately I was unable to get Ps1 games working at all. I went ahead and ordered a desr 7000, installed fmcb, flashed mechapwn, and converted the language over to english. It can boot Ps2 NA or JPN ps2 games but only boots japanese Ps1 games. I imagine it boots pal PS2 games fine but would likely be displayed wrong as the Matrix has that force NTSC / for pal modes. Did you manage to test Ps1 games at all on your end? Curious if you had the same issues with your geniune matrix infinity.

Wow that's the fastest ejector That I've ever seen .. That thing ejects dvds fast

Ha ha! Doesn't it just? :D It's supposed to have a foam / felt barrier at the front of the slot, but as with most things of that nature over time it rots to bits and drops off. When it does, there's nothing to resist the slot loader and it fires the discs out like that. I've got an idea to hopefully fix that in an upcoming episode. :)

Romeo mod next up. Keeping that 400C and LA chip happy. Done it tonight, all seems well 👍 Next job (probably Thursday now) have a look and see about getting that KWS-200A swapped out.

I'm confused, does the matrix infinity chip allow your busted dvd drive to read discs??? Will modbo do the same thing?

Hi,my PlayStation slim gives this error CE-36329-3 and it turns off once and then turns on again and locks the screen and the color of the image is damaged. I changed the hard drive and it didn't work. Does the console need an APU rebal?

What does the “PSX screen fix” setting actually do? Can you still play ps1 games effectively on the chip whether this is on or off?

I believe it forces the refresh rate so that the screen and colours display correctly on an out of region console. Seems to all work fine with PSX titles either way for me to be honest.

@@AndrewPaul Ah makes sense, thanks for clearing that up. And do you know if normal PS1 memory cards work as they typically do with this mod as well? In other words saving and loading PS1 games isn’t effected in any way?

Yes, PS1 memory cards seem to work just fine.

@@AndrewPaul hi! Sorry to jump on this comment but I have been looking at your video series on fixing the PS4 BT/Wifi Nor chip and as its a few years old I'm having difficulty in getting the parts. It requires the Teensy 2.0÷÷, 3.3v regulator, Soic16 to dip16 300mil adapter etc. What could I use as current substitutes for those components? Many thanks! 😁
