@@eddiewood7573 tHE CONDITION some of those animals live in/ are transported/killed can be called cruelty, but the fact that they are eaten, by itself is no cause in my book to call it EVIL. Westerners don't advertise how many pets they abandon and kill despite large donations to kennels. In countries that has little place for them as pets, they become meat instead of invasive species. We're hardly qualified to give lessons. We've done worse. We've raised entire generations in boxes, tested every product in development on them, more often than not for the cosmetic industry (is prettyness that important ?), Americans had whole farms of pregnant /nursing mares in Canada to collect hormones in their urine for a cream against women's "heavy legs" before it could be synthesised..So, they were kibbles at best and treated as such all their life. And that model has grown enough to kill a large number of concerned farmers' activity in favour of cheap industrial burgers. How about keeping ethnocentrism to a minimum ? People who eat cats and dogs also eat pretty much everything available first as protein go : insects, snails, frogs, and it requires a lot of work but rarely see cows or sheep . Feel free to ignore the next paragraph after the first line 🤣😋 As a french former producer of snails, not just gatherer, It's a consumming part-time job you can't rely on as any agricultural job. We don't just pick and cook them, nooo way ! That would be easy but highly unsanitary and stupid. A few sick or dead can kill your entire production, at any stage. It's persnickity work. And after 8 days suspended in a aerated environment, you can get to work after boiling, the flesh is malaxed in vinegar and raw salt twice before being "bleached" = cooked 2 hours. At which point it can be freezed or cooked for another 4 hours, this time in a bouillon (with veggies and herbs) . At worst chinese people make them hard or crispy, but a colleague told me how her father made them and she and her children are still alive. 🤣🤣🤣Thank god she's wary of mushrooms. dad was no tour guide.

The owner should never be allowed to have another animals, and preferably a child either......that type of attitude is dangerous for all living things to be around.

For shame, people didn't meddle when it was my mother's turn. kids had no voice, anyway I ran to my grandmother once as a barely 5 y-o after a pitiful day/year and begged her to take me in; I've felt alone ever since. i was in anguish for years until one night i saw my mother with a knife at her throat and raised the neighbours.
