Chef Tracy Malechek-Ezekiel worked at some of the finest restaurants in New York City before returning to her home state of Texas. Now, she and her husband operate Austin restaurant Birdies, which has been named "Restaurant of the Year" and draw a devoted audience. Jamie Wax has more.

@@AmericaCirclingTheDrain I love comments like yours. Where are the "Texans" ? I spent 38 years in Texas. There's no "community of Texans" who share certain values. It's just business and a bunch of Mexicans with other immigrants mixed in. Everone agrees to spend half their lives in their cars getting obese and eating garbage.
