Tornado's this time of the year out west are no joke, and very frequent. I grew up in New England so tornados aren't something I use to not hear much about. Since I travel in my truck camper, I only had a two days to flea Oklahoma and just hardly make it out of the heart of the storm. prayers to everyone who has sadly effected by a tornado, I saw videos of Nebraska getting hit hard..
I wanted to show the Oklahoma adventures first but with all the messages you guys have been sending me being concerned about Skye and I, I decided to edit this video the morning I got to Ryan's (today) and upload the video.. today. I will be sleeping for about a week straight now .. LOL. shoutout to Ryan for being a legend, I'm going to bed now, goodnight.
‪@FLAIR.‬ is running a go fundme for the tornado victims. I figured it might help some adding the link here, so if you want to donate, do so here! gofund.me/608c1611

I’ve lived in Texas ALL of my life and I’m 72 years young. If people anywhere are not taking Tornado season seriously, then they are stupid! Be serious and listen to the weather reports for your area and where you’re going - use common sense! Keep your eyes on the sky. If/When they darken, watch how they move and in what direction. In a straight line, are they swirling - if it’s hailing, it’s best to get off the highway and under cover if possible (car wash, etc). Watch the sky and listen to the weather reports. These two things along with staying calm, using common sense and you’re very likely to be ok. Just remember that your truck is top heavy so strong wind is another thing to watch. Stay safe

FYI "Ryan Hall Y'all" on KZfaq is the go to channel for tornado weather. They are spot on making the public aware when a tornado is on the ground and where it's headed. (I didn't say they PREDICT a tornado) but I do feel that the channel is responsible for making the public aware many times before the sirens go off in cities. PLEASE check them out if you're in the area of severe weather.

I have lived in Missouri for the last 52 years and am 57. Tornadoes seemed more common when I was younger. They are scary, however, I also find them fascinating! Always pay attention to your surroundings and find a good place to hunker down when if needed. Things can change so quickly and they are no joke. TBH, flash flooding scares me more because i have experienced it in my car almost going under in the dark. Stay safe and love your videos!

Goodnight, Becca. I am glad that you and Skye are safe. Shout out to your friend Ryan for helping you and keeping you safe. We just had a bunch of tornadoes here in Oklahoma. I am sad to report that their were some fatalities. You did the right thing in taking the tornadoes risks seriously. They are no joke. I am glad you didn't get any hail. Hail in my opinion are worse. Stay safe out there.

I was born in California and as a child I was used to feeling the ground shake all the time with tremors...my parents moved to St. Louis when I was 6 and the first time the tornado sirens went off and we had to run to the cellar scared the crap out of me...been in central Missouri for over 50 years now and had a home hit by lightning a couple times during intense storms...lost all electronics...but I'm still not used to the high winds especially being surrounded by trees...and the hail is no joke either...and my 13 year old beagle is not crazy about it at all...tornados don't play favorites and leave a path of destruction...stay safe and prepared

❤❤❤❤, Ty for the share Tornadoes are no fun. I think I might have said this, one day I was sitting in my 38 ft RV a beautiful sunny day in Florida. No rain no storm just a beautiful sunny day. I decided to watch some TV and I hear, Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! My high cabinets dropped low. I look out the front window 5 oak trees, where on top of my RV one came through the wall, and hit the cabinet. I could not open the door 2 oaks were in front of it. I jumped out the window. The electric Pole and the transformer are hanging off the top of my RV. Anyway a police officer friend came to tell me the road was blocked. When he saw my RV he freaked out and called emergency crews. it took the electric company over 5 hours to get the transformer backup and all the wires off my RV and cut the trees off. Which I video recorded. Anyway, it was just a beautiful sunny day and Boom! So don't screw around ! Don't wait for dark clouds and rain, it doesn't always appear like that. If you have a friend that welcomes you in a situation like that, go relax and share your steak with them. I am speaking for Skye ! Furthermore the fact that your Pup is not comfortable for the first time is a good indication . I understand feeling odd and not familiar, I am a Floridian out in the desert, learning to be aware. It's Beautiful but has its many unfamiliar issues. I don't know anyone out here but I still got to prepare for the unknown. ( Flash floods etc) Take care of Yourself and Skye Becca. Glad it is all good, 💯✌️🙏❤️🕯️🎈🌻😊🎣🎣🎣

Thank God the two of you are safe. Had me scared for you. Ive seen a tornado when my kids were small. We were visiting my very best friend in Oklahoma. I was so scared she told us to get in the cellar, I opened it up and said nope not me we went in the house got in the tub and put a mattress over us. I just couldn't go into that cellar it was flooded and had scorpions and giant spiders in it . But the tornado came about a mile from her house and turned around. It was my first and last time seeing one. Left that weekend and came home and haven't been there since. Thank God she moved back here. Enough about me Becca its always better to be safe than sorry. You sweetie have a good head on your shoulders. I would have been having a panic attack. You really kept your cool. Proud of you. Stay safe and always be yourself. Many prayers for those who have been affected. God bless each and everyone of them . Love Your adopted Nannie from NORTH CAROLINA. Love always to my girls

Glad you and Sky were safe! Tornadoes are no joke for sure. Anyone who says or laughs otherwise has never been near a direct hit. Years ago, in Minnesota, husband and I had a tornado 🌪 literally HOP-SKIP over us from one Bluff onto the next Bluffs while tent camping! The straight-line Winds were fierce but spared us and the Forest Rangers in the campground. Lightning 🌩 in the sky is bad but Ground Lightning is the worst! Ground Lightning is UNPREDICTABLE AND GIVES NO WARNINGS. IT JUST SPRINGS UP FROM THE EARTH! The mountains in Alabama and Georgia have some wicked Ground Lightning storms 😳 too.

I went through Marietta OK travelling to Kansas just a few hours before the tornado hit the Dollar Tree warehouse. I have an original pair of Crocs and they are slick on the sole lol! Greenish sky indicates tornado conditions.

Glad you were able to stay safe! ❤ And yes, locals in "tornado alley" get desensitized when there are tornado warnings constantly during tornado season. Being that I also grew up in the northeast part of the country, I was a basket case when I first moved to Alabama and started experiencing the great southern tornado weather.... now after living here for so long, I'm also desensitized to it.

Hi there, I dunno how long You've been here but as a life long resident, that's soon to be 64 years, let me say, " welcome to Alabama, the heart of Dixie Alley!" I can't imagine what a shock it was to you coming from the northeast to...here! Anyhow, hope you've acclimated & that it feels at least a little like home. Peace & Blessings

@selenepickins4874 thank you for the warm welcome! I've been in Alabama since 1993, and it was a big culture shock when I first got here. I had to learn basically a whole new language with all the phrases and comments that people use. 😆 It does feel like home here. My accent is a blend of NJ/AL now.

New sub here! You have the hockey personality! Played for Jr. Flyers out of high school. Miss Lilah (probably spelled wrong) is a trip. Very dry humor. You are so talented and enjoyable to watch. My partner said he is going to try your college ramen. Being a paramedic... its awesome to see such talented content.

You know why southerner have large front porches? To have tornado watching parties. I can see how someone not use to them would waste their entire night sleepless, but you just had really bad thunderstorms . Most of the south has a pretty good alarm system. Ours in Georgia actually talks to you. Ryan Hall is the one to watch.Praying for all those lives and people who were affected. Im am glad you both survived the horrible weather in Texas.

My daughter lives in southeast Texas (Orange TX, which is near Beaumont) I have never been down their during hurricane season, but have been there during tornado season. Last year there was a small one that went through about 15 miles from her neighborhood. We had her 3 dogs in the garage-they prefer to be outside so they were having hissy fits. She had her all weather radio on, battery powered lanterns ready, had me go put on leggings and my shoes. Luckily All we got was very heavy rain and some wind. She is very "weather ready" for hurricanes and tornadoes. She survived Harvey!

Growing up in the Midwest we barely budge with tornado warnings 😂 never seen one in person EVER tbh. The sirens go off and we’re sitting on the porch enjoying the rain 😂
