My father's mother was the only child in her family born in America, they came from Bohemia. Although the cultures are different, I felt a connection with the fruit. The plum design felt so familiar and cherries, well my father made the very best cherry pie in the world. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. I know your future will be a bright one,

I Love F I T ❤ I graduated in the 80s . Textile Design Degree. I had projects that you are talking about. So original and self empowering ! To know you are creating and putting something tangible into the world ! YES! My light bulb went on when I realized the designer VERA was putting artwork (prints) on all “ordinary” stuff in our life. Boring solid colors no more!!! Table clothes and placemats etc. I knew I could and wanted to be Like Vera. Anyway total fun and Hard Work. Became a HOSIERY DESIGNER and did very well growing in the fashion industry. I love your videos. You go!!! You are on a very exciting journey! Your paintings are awesome! Love your designs and skill. I am very glad that I happened upon your podcast- you are such a delight to watch- listen to and experience many fun things! From textiles, weaving, design, knitting- fiber in general… travel to fascinating places- Scotland (place of my own significant heritage)… took me back to 2018 when I attended Loch Ness Knit Fest - so fun… / baking with grandma- in Serbia!! Wow- thank you for your marvelous contribution to this corner of the world! You shine!

Thank you for bringing back memories of my grandmother. She would make sour cherry soup for me. The best purple plums grew in her yard. Your patterns are spot on.

Thank you for taking us with you, it’s so much fun to watch! This design is by far my favourite design of yours, even without the history, it’s so fun and modern. ❤

Love your designs! If you’d ever start selling cotton fabric with your designs I would definitely buy yards and yards and yards to make bags and quilts.

Yes! Would love to see your designs for purchase! So unique and full of your vibrant energy, thanks for sharing your journey and art and life with all of us. Just got the set and am excited to unbox! The tins are so perfect, I’m going to use them for other functions as well. I’m thinking a great picnic addition for storage and practical use. Keep doing what you’re doing Andrea, I love it.

I love how your designs turned out. There's a bakery in my neighbourhood that makes a lot of pastries from central Europe and my favourite is a Kolace which I think is a hungarian pastry with sweetened cheese and sour cherries and it is divine! I can imagine the pastries from Serbia with sour cherries to be similarly delicious.

Wow. Ditto all the positive comments about this collection. I love your content and presentation. One thing I would be interested in, if you would care to share it, is how your work is received by peers and instructors. It needn’t be full critiques, rather things like unexpected comment, a funny one, or words you took to heart and how it influenced future projects. Also feedback you decided to leave behind and how it worked out for you. Enjoy your down time.

Totally enjoying your creative processes and your beautiful designs!! I was super pleased with your bathroom designs! A note on the other...maybe expand your designs. I was hoping to see that border (in purple) repeated on a towel with the plums in the same way you did the cherries.

Hi Alexandra! Happy 4th of July! Does Block carry white guash paint by the bucket?😊 If they did it would probably break your wallet. I always enjoy your designs and thought the image of the apron was cute. I can picture you (and your grandma) wearing it. Stay safe and have a great week.

Just a heads up; I use palette knives or plastic knives to mix my paints up.

I really like the cherry and plum designs! Why do you have to paint the designs by hand after creating them on the computer?

QUESTION. Why does everything need to be hand painted? Couldn't you just add color to your designs in your design software? I would really like to know.
