Thady and his Dad, John, have had 17 Group 1 winners together since sharing a licence two years ago. Thady spoke to Nick Luck about a range of topics on Luck On Sunday plus divulged the name of the colt who is among the Classic hopes at Clarehaven.

Great interview by Nick! Obviously Thady can't talk like his dad but few can! Nick kept it moving along brilliantly and made it it interesting as usual.

Thady has turned out to be a bigger version of John himself. The potential is there for all to see. Served his time abroad and wasn't handed on a plate. Very humble and sociable. He sees himself as part of a team and has a wide perspective on the nuances of the whole operation. Winner alright, winner alright !!

Of course he was handed it on a plate, he's not training from his own stables,attracting his own owners,employing his own staff,if that's not being handed it on a plate I don't know what is.

He will do right to remember, as he so graciously pointed out that all the work and sweat that went into the success of the Clarehaven yard is down to many people and many years of other peoples efforts. I think only an incompetent fool could cock this gig up. (Matt Chapman excepted). Thanks dad. BTW; Do you know how hard it is to stable a horse at Clarehaven my fellow racing enthusiasts? If you are not an already a successful owner like Neilson, a stud like Cheveley Park, or a prince like Khalid Abdullah , or a known rich musical impresario like Lloyd Webber, you will struggle. With that line-up how much do you think the weekly fees are?

hi nick real news this week curran shocked after bha prevents heavily backed aces full from running at exeter dose this mean the bookmaker as the power to stop your bet at any one time and all the thousands of bets though out the country mase fixing comes to mind war room stuff not good for racing

George Boughey is going to very top as a trainer,on his own merit too, slim thady is not.

Will he not learn from his Dad? To he honest he will have all the facilities and best horses unlike other trainers. I don't think Thady can help how he was brought into racing.
