Pete : For someone who admits they are scared of heights (Vertigo) why is it you live so high up in a Condo? Surely it must be a battle of nerves everytime you are on your balcony looking down? As that bridge you walked over gingerly was only half the height you live on.

I also have no problem flying. Maybe it was what sounded like the rivets in the supports popping out that triggered the fear. My condo is a solid structure. Yet I can't climb a ladder. Strange, eh?

Pete, I completely understand your issue with heights, but in my work at the school in our theater, I often have to work "up high". You would NOT do well on our "tension grid" (about 60 feet above the audience chamber), which is a multi-section catwalk, spanning the width of the theater, with each section being an open-mesh grid (so don't drop anything small through the grid!) and each of the sections having a (deliberately) different degree of springiness - just as you've adjusted to walking on one section, you step onto the next and have to completely readjust your gait. We have some students who can not be sent up there to hang or focus lights for the shows because they handle heights about as well as you do.
