Yeah. It's like the meme "where have you been all my Life?" "The first two thirds, I wasn't born yet" The only thing I can somewhat see is the first point (as a childfree Person I also wouldn't Date a parent) but If somethings a deal breaker, it's a dealbreaker, not a point deduction.
@Amy_the_Lizard2 жыл бұрын
The only one that seems sorta valid to me is the point deduction for prior cheating, as if that's a reoccurring thing that the person does, and you aren't okay with the possibility that they might see other people while they're dating you, that would be a major con to dating that person. The single parent one also has some validity, but if it's a deal-breaker it shouldn't have a point deduction, it should simply remove them from the pool entirely...

The weird thing for me is they don’t seem to care whether the girl is 7 years younger or 7 years older, just as long as there’s an age difference. Who is interested in age difference in itself? Is this person both a pedophile and a gerontophile?

I'm currently planning my wedding, and some of the crazy weird gendered rubbish I seen makes me want to puke. I'm non-binary AFAB (the "bride"), and my partner is a gender queer AMAB (the "groom"). When wedding people see me as the bride, they firstly assume my partner is a man, and that I'm straight and not marrying a woman, but also then force these weird gender assumptions on everything. They're shocked when they find out my partner is actually helping me plan the wedding and has a say in everything but my dress. If anyone starts with the "game over" or "I hate my husband" jokes at or around my wedding I will actually flip
@MoonGalleon222 жыл бұрын
I had this too when I got married last year - I'm genderqueer afab, and my partner is a pre-everything trans woman. We went with my mum to a few wedding shows before the pandemic; my partner was almost completely ignored by everyone, but my mother and I were showered with questions and comments. If my partner - who people were clearly labelling as "the groom" - wasn't interested in the wedding planning, then they wouldn't have come with me to the show (not least of which because they actually tried asking people questions)! In the end, my partner organised all the catering, had a say in everything I organised, and we both sorted out our outfits together (some advice: if you can get something tailored to fit you, please do that! We got some really lovely, gender-euphoric, unique wedding suits made to measure for less money than it would have cost to buy something similar off the rack).

@seqka7112 жыл бұрын
@@sakshikandgatla5795 It's basically a formal event, where fathers and daughters (usually girls who have just begun puberty/mensuration) dress in formal wear and eat and stuff. Where fathers make a vow to protect their daughter's purity and daughters make a vow to not have sex before marriage. The idea is that it improves father daughter relationships which (in theory) make them less likely to get into sexual relationships at young ages. In reality, like most abstinence only initiatives, studies show that girls who go to Purity Balls have sex at the same rate as those who don't, but have higher instances of STDs and teenage pregnancy. The other big criticism of Purity Balls is that they reinforce old, sexist ideas about marriage and purity and fathers controlling their daughter's sexualities, especially since it's not like Mother-Son Purity Balls exist. It takes two to tango, after all.
