My first reaction was facts but... And this is coming from an introverted emo kid with social anxiety once people settle into their groove in a social setting usually supplemented by alcohol they stop being apprehensive about new comers that's atleast if you don't take yourself seriously are a little self aware and know how to laugh, in my experience I gravitate towards the one person with least resistance then slowly win over the entire group and by the end of the night we're all fucked up singing breaking free in the living room of whoever's house it is

The real facts of this is tho, cause i see alot of comments on both sides defending either or, extroverts arent gonna be able to comprehend how an introvert thinks and operates and vice versa, introverts wont understand how the extrovert operates. Extroverted people naturally take an interest in other people. When your interested in something (whether your intro or extro) you will naturally get familiar with it. So that means the extroverted friend will naturally drift off and talk to any person they find interesting and most of the time not intentionally trying to leave their friend. Introverts don’t exactly take a natural interest in other people, they tend to take an interest in more complex things/topic like music, or an activity etc. You may see them join a conversation if its about something that’s interesting to them, but you wont see them talking to every person they see as they simply aren’t interested, and forcing yourself to be interested is awkward for both parties, them and the person their trying to talk too. So in these setting you may find them to rather stay to themselves. Thats also why you may see introverts to appear more social in smaller group were the main activity is well an activity. Like the group goes golfing or go karting or something. A party like the one in the video where the main thing to do is get to know people is awkward for introverts, where as activity based events are great for introverts. Being shy ≠ introverted.

Oh heck nah, I know who and how my friends are. I have some who arent so confident and able to talk to folk just like that. I wont be leaving them by themselves, and not help them be sociable as we first arrive at the party. Nah we gonna walk around together, as I know a shy person doesnt just come out of their shell just like that. That's what a party is for: to meet new people, and not to expect your buddy to hold your hand as if you're a child and introduce you to other humans beings. You have your own mind and mouth, so go talk to other humans without needing guidance and pernission from your buddy. You don't need help talking to other humans. Meeting new people and not being afraid of being rejected by them makes you stronger than them, and it is the way to overcome the feelings of awkwardness. It doesn't matter that they perceive you as awkward. What matters is you not caring what they perceive about you. That spirit of rejection will haunt the awkward until they break out of their comfort zone of fear that makes them insecure and introverted and afraid of human interaction. Don't be afraid of human interaction. It doesn't matter if they reject you for your awkwardness. Your strength comes when you don't care about their perception of you. Humans are not your God. Their opinions of you are empty until they truly love you like Jesus Christ loves you.

This happened to me before, I returned the favor by inviting him to my birthday party and had him wait a whole 30 minutes before getting inside. He wanted me to introduce him to these fine girls I was talking to but I kept ignoring him and eventually he was outside acting like he was on the phone 😂😂😂😂😂
